Director - Agency Development (ANZ)

What is the key purpose of a Director - Agency Development? 

A Director - Agency Development working in the Brands & Agencies team paves the path for Taboolas sales & partnership efforts with agency holding companies & large independent media agencies & brands in Australia & New Zealand. This person will uncover & develop sales opportunities, as well as lead & sign partnerships with holding companies, large independent agencies and/or their subsidiaries as well as select direct clients. In this role, they will collaborate with & be heavily supported by our Sales, Account Management, Product, Finance, & Legal teams.

What skills & qualifications do I need?

  • 5+ years of experience working within or alongside holding group agencies.
  • Positive reputation & relationships across senior leaders at agency holding groups.
  • Vast knowledge of the ANZ media industry landscape, with a digital specialisation.
  • Proven track record of obtaining & closing high value sales opportunities.
  • Outstanding persuasive communication & presentation skills, with strong ability to communicate complex solutions to a range of audiences.
  • A win-win-win mindset of exceptional collaboration, positive engagement, & focus on success through new business development.
  • Deep understanding of the tools used by agencies to trade digital campaigns: data, brand safety, brand lift, DSPs, measurement, targeting & more.

What will I be doing on a day-to-day basis?

As Director - Agency Development, you will: 

  • Be the custodian of Taboolas relationships & sales success with holding company & major independent agencies.
  • Nurture & maintain positive, productive relationships with leaders of holding company & major independent agencies.
  • Plan & execute partnership programs with holding company & major independent agencies, & with select direct clients, to influence & motivate advertisers business strategies.
  • Build & deliver programs to educate agency teams on Taboolas solutions.
  • Discover & unlock new sales opportunities for Taboolas Enterprise sales teams within holding company & major independent agencies.
  • Support, coach, mentor & guide Taboolas Enterprise sales teams toward their sales success within holding company & major independent agencies.
  • Expertly collaborate across Taboola to communicate & inspire progress toward the needs of holding company & major independent agencies.
  • Nurture & maintain positive, productive relationships in our DSP demand partners to empower our sales success with programmatic buyers in holding company & major independent agencies.
  • Own, deliver & communicate the revenue target from holding group & major independent agencies, as well as select direct clients, & work with all departments to ensure sales & revenue success.
