Job Description
As the Workforce Planning & Training Manager, youll lead the Workforce Planning team in delivering timely, accurate, & compliant employee rosters for our YouFoodz Custom Facility. Youll also oversee a small Production Recruitment team, & Production Training Team ensuring our facility is effectively staffed, trained, & operationally efficient.
This role is based in Karawatha & reporting to the Head of Manufacturing, pivotal in driving workforce efficiency, operational excellence, & continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
You will
- Lead the Workforce Planning team, including the Production Talent Acquisition Officer & Production Trainers, to deliver effective, timely, & compliant rostering, recruitment, & training for operational employees.
- Provide workforce planning recommendations that optimise labour efficiency & minimise costs, while maintaining compliance with employment legislation & industrial instruments.
- Build & maintain strong relationships with managers & supervisors to implement effective rostering systems & processes across the custom facility.
- Collaborate with Payroll, People Operations, & third-party agencies to support recruitment, attendance management, & smooth cross-functional workflows.
- Oversee the accuracy & maintenance of rostering systems, employee details, & workforce planning documentation, including process guides & cheat sheets.
- Lead the delivery & reporting of key workforce metrics, providing insights on overtime, meal breaks, shift swaps, absenteeism, & operational workforce performance.
- Drive recruitment strategy for production roles, including agency partnerships.
- Deliver structured onboarding & training programs to build capability & performance.
- Partner with Payroll, People Operations, & site leadership to ensure seamless workforce coordination.
- Represent Workforce Planning in operational projects & stakeholder engagements, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Foster a safe, high-performing workplace culture grounded in accountability, empathy, & adherence to WorkSafe, HelloFresh Group, & OH&S standards.
You have
- Previous experience in workforce planning, rostering & recruitment, whilst leading & developing teams.
- Experience working with & interpreting Awards.
- Experience in continuous improvement & quality control will be highly regarded
- including lean manufacturing
- Excellent communication skills & a strong commitment to teamwork.
- Experience in data analysis (desirable).
- Tertiary or industry related qualification(s) - desired but not essential.

Duration: Permanent full time role. You must have the right to work full-time in Australia/New Zealand.
