About the job

The Strategic Partner SE role has the opportunity to cultivate & enable key technology partners & key channel partners to assist our customer-facing teams in generating pipeline, closing deals, & realizing the success of our customers.This is the perfect opportunity to roll up your sleeves & have an impact on the next phase of Segments & Twilios go-to-market strategy through Partnerships.

Responsibilities

In this role, youll:

Technology Partners:

  • Act as the technical point of contact for all priority/focus partners

  • Provide feedback to Product to drive inputs & evolution of Segments roadmap

  • Define & document best practices for deployment of joint partner solutions

  • Synthesize & communicate customer feedback about integrations

  • Enable partners on the technical merits & differentiators of Segment

  • Create relevant documentation for partners & customers consumption

  • Provide support for certification & inclusion in Technology Partner Programs

  • Contribute criteria for partner tiering & certification in Segment's ecosystem

Channel Partners:

  • Conduct technical enablement for partners & develop strategies & initiatives to drive scale which includes building, defining & executing technical enablement programs

  • Create customized demos & joint POCs/pilots to show high value use cases

  • Define Segment technical skills progression

  • Support partner RFPs for sourced & co-sell opportunities

  • Work with partner Architects & Developers to gather project deployment feedback

  • Create & update self-serve Sales & Implementation Enablement certification paths in LMS

  • Monitor & Analyze Partner Progression through Enablement & Activation

  • Work with GSI's & Channel Alliances to develop end-to-end managed services packages

  • Light touch support for initial implementations of newer partners

Internal Partners:

  • Enable Twilio Partner Solution Architects on the value & technical functionality of Segment.

  • Support strategic partner meetings alongside Twilio Partner Solution Architects as a Segment specialist.

  • Are eager & motivated to learn new technologies

  • Are a self starter with strong problem solving skills

  • Have experience creating & delivering training & enablement

  • Understand complex sales processes, build consensus & be adept at developing relationships at multiple levels.

  • Have strong domain expertise in the areas of advertising, martech & SaaS applications

  • Are able to rally internal cross-functional resources to enable partner success.

  • Have the ability to set priorities, focus on details & motivate internal & external teams to deliver agreed-upon goals.

  • Have stand out verbal, written & communications skills

  • Have strong problem solving skills.

  • Have 3-8 years of experience in Sales engineering, Solution architecture, Business Development, or Customer Success

Location This role will be based in New York or one of our other remote office locations. This role will remotely support teams across USA & EMEA so EST timezone is preferred. Our expectation is that the team will get together in person 1-2 times/quarter once it is safe to do.
