Role Description
You will have direct responsibility for the Dropbox product strategy, a product loved by 700m+ users worldwide focused on the universal organization, workflow, & search layer for all our users content. You will also have significant strategic impact & influence on the overall company direction. You will work closely with teams to deliver on existing value & develop the new Dropbox core experiences that help users sync, organize, & share their content, wherever they are, from any device.
When you join, youll will be responsible for leading key company initatives alongside cross-org & cross-functional teams which are critical to deliver on the companys goals through shipping high quality customer experiences. A successful product leader will be able to come in, ramp on the domain quickly & balance perspectives across a range of functions, bring relevant experience, competitive insights & then set direction that empowers & energizes teams to deliver their best work in a fast-paced environment. At times, these functions while having aligned incentives, will need to be brought along on the prioritization thats most critical for reaching goals. You will need to have a deep understanding of users, strong analytical skills & design sense & high bar for product craft.
Responsibilities
- Define & evangelize company-level product vision, strategy & roadmaps for key parts of the Dropbox product experience that deeply engages users across Dropboxs self-serve & managed products.
- Lead & engage lock-step with Marketing, Data Science, Pricing & Packaging, Research & our customers to understand, analyze, synthesize & evangelize key user needs & opportunities into product priorities, roadmaps & detailed PRDs.
- Collaborate & cultivate strong relationships across Engineering & Design to test, quickly iterate & launch experiences that will support acceleration of monetization through activation & onboarding experiences.
- Become an expert on Dropboxs growth engine - understanding how to improve key funnels & flywheels.
Requirements
- 10+ years experience as a Product Manager
- Strong empathy for users a customer champion
- Entrepreneurial drive & demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative & fast-paced environment. You can turn ambiguous problems & big ideas into an actionable roadmap of features, experiments, research all with minimal guidance
- Deep understanding of how your products work together & what levers equate to short v. long-term success. You can quickly understand & translate results & how they ladder up to the larger goal set.
- You can make hard decisions & push those around you to excel, even when theyre not in your organization.
- Leadership experience in coordinating & motivating teams across multiple organizational boundaries
