RAPP is an integral part of Omnicoms Precision Marketing Group, comprising 4,000 creatives, technologists, strategists, & data & marketing scientists across 40 global markets. 

YOUR ROLE:

Working closely with the VP, Data Privacy & Omnicom Data Governance team, to support & maintain robust data governance practices across North America. Fostering a data-driven culture, with precision & empathy at scale.

This roles responsibilities focus on managing a data governance process, across agency client teams, to maintain standards relating to data governance practices across the data lifecycle & ensuring compliance with data handling regulations. Working closely with internal data & with technical, operations & business leadership teams to identify & implement appropriate standards & practices. The role requires someone who is extremely hands-on, highly collaborative, & willing to dig into the details. The individual will work with both internal stakeholders as well as external clients & third-party vendors/organizations. This role requires broad, practical knowledge of managing data governance models & working to implement at a day-to-day level.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Help to maintain data inventory & data flow mapping documentation as part of a company-wide privacy program.
  • Lead data privacy audits (client teams) following the established data governance framework
  • Identify areas of risk & collaborate on appropriate remediation plans with data governance, privacy & security peers.
  • Working with key stakeholders to continually to work on improving current policies & processes & support the implementation at an agency level.
  • Identify areas of improvement, recommend solutions to enhance privacy maturity standards.
  • Embed privacy by design in RAPPs culture & working practices for responsible use of data
  • Serve as the voice of the customer with respect to effective & responsible use & sharing of data; improve the customer experience & build trust in RAPP/client customer base

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Proven experience in data governance, data management, or a related field (3+ years)
  • Certified or close to certifying with an accredited organization (e.g., IAPP certification; security certification) or extensive data governance experience
  • Understanding of & experience with industry-specific regulations & general technology solutions, security standards & frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO)
  • Good understanding of data governance frameworks, principles, & best practices.
  • Passionate about leveraging data to drive business outcomes & possess strong leadership & collaboration skills
  • Digs in, rolls up sleeves & loves finding solutions
  • Builds relationships, fosters trust, confidence & experience to call out issues
  • Active learner

Our Hybrid Work Model:

RAPP's current hybrid model is designed to enable in-person connections & collaboration that is core to our culture, while also supporting flexibility for all employees. As such, we have the option to work from home two days per week, if we'd like.

This range is specific to NYC & multiple factors are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: skill set, experience & training, certifications; etc. This is an exempt position.
