Our Editorial Team within the WEBTOON Content Department is responsible for sourcing, developing, & delivering WEBTOON ORIGINALS. We're looking for the next generation of WEBTOON enthusiasts to join us for a 16-week immersive internship where you'll be working hands on with several of our experienced editors. Students will learn the unique developmental & operational approaches behind each series such as: weekly publication & story structure, the vertical scroll format, genre & audience expectations, & critical readings skills that aid in sourcing & developing new titles. Most importantly, interns will make meaningful contributions to the curation of WEBTOON Original Series in 2025.
Ideal candidates will have some experience developing comics or other visual media through their coursework or independently, be fans & avid consumers of a variety of online content, & have some experience in digital content production.
Candidates must be eager to work with a diverse portfolio of genres & gain day-to-day experience working with creatives. Candidates should demonstrate an understanding of current trends on social media & pop-culture.
This position reports to the Senior Managing Editor of the Editorial Team, while working alongside other experienced assistant, associate, & senior level editors. Applications should include the required Pitch Skills Test (template provided).
