The Content Strategy team is the company's forward-looking radar & content innovation hub -- driving relevant content to empower learners. We advise on strategic opportunities, identify impactful targets, launch strategic initiatives, & incubate new product lines & verticals.
The Content team is responsible for ensuring that Coursera's university partnerships, industry partnerships, & course content strategy achieve the highest level of success.
The Content Strategy Researcher will be responsible for conducting strategic research to inform the content strategy team's approach to identifying Degrees & MasterTrack (subsets of Degrees) content to launch on Coursera. As part of this larger content strategy, this person will partner with team member leads in different areas -- technology, data science, business, health, & more -- to provide relevant landscape research on job demand, market size, popular content, content gaps, thought leaders, & more. The researcher will ultimately be responsible for finalizing a list of in-demand MasterTracks & Degrees for our Partnerships team, & ensure that the research has high utility for them. The research will likely include competitive analyses, overviews of key skills needed to succeed in a content domain, & forward-looking research to identify forthcoming trends. This person will also be responsible for identifying & reaching out to key university informants, such as provosts, deans, & professors for more context about university thinking in the online learning space.
The ultimate goal of the role is to create a list of in-demand MasterTracks & Degrees for our Partnerships team, & ensure that this list is digestible, actionable, & relevant to their content sourcing goals.
