What is the key purpose of an Enterprise Advertising Sales Manager?

As an Enterprise Advertising Sales Manager you will join our growing Chicago team & focus on building & managing long-term strategic partnerships with Tier 1 Brands & agencies across the midwest. As a highly-valued & proactive individual, you will contribute to Taboolas growth by advocating the power of our platform within assigned client-direct & agency accounts. Success in this role is based on consistent prospecting/networking & pipeline development, new client acquisition/activation, client retention/growth, & achievement against progressive total revenue goals.  We operate in a matrixed environment, with support from a skilled team of account managers, media planners, creative strategists & agency development leaders.  Our culture & win-win approach to partnerships demand that a successful candidate will bring passion, accountability & a sense of professional urgency to work every day.

What skills & qualifications do I need?

For this role it is essential that you have:

  • Bachelors degree
  • 4+ years of experience in a solutions-based sales role within the digital advertising industry 
  • Existing relationships on both client & agency side across the Midwest region in the following verticals: Financial Services, Health, Home & Garden, Auto, Retail & Tier I Agencies (Omnicom, Havas, IPG, Publicis and/or Dentsu)
  • Deep knowledge about advertising, performance based media & technology 
  • Strong business acumen, & an ability to present & communicate ideas/concepts effectively
  • Ability to exercise consistent emotional intelligence, professionalism & persistence
  • Comfortable working in a team environment
  • Ability to navigate & communicate with both internal (Taboola) & external (client) teams 
  • Prior experience with Salesforce (or another CRM system) & related productivity tools

What will I be doing on a day-to-day basis?

As an Enterprise Advertising Sales Manager, you will: 

  • Drive revenue growth by consistently developing, closing & scaling a pipeline of advertiser campaigns & always-on partnerships; within assigned brand (client-direct) & agency accounts
  • Develop relationships with prospective clients through phone, email, social media, in-person meetings & professional networking events
  • Act as an internal advocate for clients & return client/market-driven insights to Product, as needed, to make sure Taboola is providing a best-in-class product & level of service for its partners
  • Learn, evangelize, position, & sell successful advertising strategies & innovative solutions, both creative & technical, across a range of industries & types of businesses
  • Demonstrate a mastery of the ability to balance time invested toward low- & high-spend potential accounts along with assessing where they fit within your sales pipeline
