The role

The Indirect Procurement Manager for Operations will be responsible for overseeing category management, strategic sourcing & contracting in Hello Fresh International for office & production facilities, including leasing/rent, production equipment, MRO (Maintenance, Repair, & Operations), & utilities. The goal is to collaborate seamlessly with stakeholders & suppliers in all international markets & help them to navigate the procurement landscape. In addition, the role will be supporting initiatives targeted to increase the maturity level of Indirect Procurements processes & systems landscape. As part of the Property & Logistics Procurement team the position will report to the respective cluster lead (Director level).

Please note that this position is limited to 24 months. A permanent position is being sought.

What youll do

• Conduct detailed spend analysis & benchmarking, evaluate market & competitive conditions, & use as a basis to create data based category strategies & sourcing activities
• Align & execute a sourcing roadmap with key stakeholders in the HQ & the local markets to deliver P&L savings & overall procurement value
• Develop & optimize the supplier portfolio across Hello Freshs international markets
• Cultivate & manage close (senior level) relationships with business partners within Operations to support their objectives & the company growth agenda
• Act as the central point of contact for any Real Estate & production equipment related procurement questions
• Design & maintain category reporting to senior executives & internal stakeholders
• Lead or participate in the implementation of best-in-class procurement processes & tools

What you bring 

• 3 to 5 years of experience in Real Estate, facilities, utilities and/or Capex procurement ideally in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment and/or production environment 
• Deep knowledge of strategic sourcing methodology, category management, & supplier management
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, & joy in working independently
• Experience in spend & market analyses as well as benchmarking with focus on European markets
• Strong written & verbal communication skills, including preparing & delivering presentations as well as reports
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with proven ability to build trust & credibility with business partners
• Demonstrated change management & project management knowledge
• Readiness to frequently travel nationally/abroad to our sites
• Fluency in business English, additional German language skills are a plus
