The Inbound/Outbound Supervisor plays a key role in the daily operations of our Distribution Centre, managing both inbound (receiving) & outbound (dispatch) activities. This hands-on role is responsible for ensuring that stock is received & shipped accurately, efficiently, & in accordance with safety & food quality standards.
You will be responsible for supervising & supporting a team of warehouse operatives, monitoring performance, & ensuring that daily targets & KPIs are met. As a frontline leader, you'll foster a positive & productive work environment, identify areas for improvement, & help implement operational best practices.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Lead & supervise a team of colleagues to ensure shift KPIs are delivered in full & on time.
- Oversee inbound receipt of goods & outbound dispatch of orders, ensuring timely, accurate, & safe handling of stock.
- Develop, coach, & support team members to reach their full potential, recognising & nurturing high performers.
- Continuously assess & improve operational processes, collaborating with other departments to deliver efficiencies & innovations.
- Ensure all incoming & outgoing stock meets food safety & quality standards through inspections & audits.
- Respond to operational queries, supporting colleagues & liaising with HR & Training teams where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate operational records, including digital logs, food safety data, & shift reports.
- Promptly report & escalate incidents or hazards to the Distribution Manager.
- Drive compliance with SOPs, audit readiness, & adherence to standards (e.g., BRCGS, ISO).
