The role:
As the Senior Manager, Marketing Operations at Newsela, your role is pivotal in managing & optimizing all aspects of marketing operations in our next phase of business growth. You will lead a team, & deliver on program activations & key projects. You will manage marketing technology, optimize processes/systems, & analyze data to enhance the way we work, drive demand, & engage with educators across Newsela products.
You will:
- Oversee all aspects of marketing operations, including people management, marketing automation, campaign operations, website operations, reporting, marketing tech stack management, & vendor management.
- Develop & implement an overarching marketing operations strategy & roadmap in line with Newsela marketing objectives & key results (OKRs).
- Own & optimize our marketing tech stack, including Marketo, Drift, Wistia, Sendoso, & Webflow.
- Ensure Newsela martech systems meet data privacy, compliance, & governance standards.
- Optimize lead management processes, including lead scoring & attribution, collaborating with go-to-market (GTM) & program leads to define, document, measure, & improve effectiveness & performance.
- Partner with customer team stakeholders to align marketing operations with customer operations (sales & customer success operations).
- Partner with Software Engineering leadership & developers to deliver on projects related to website development.
- Partner with the Data & Analytics team to build & optimize reports & dashboards to enable data-driven decision making throughout the marketing team.
- Provide strategic guidance & support to your team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement & efficiency.

Why youre a great fit:
- You have 5+ years of experience in marketing & marketing/revenue operations, ideally in a B2B SaaS environment.
- You have strong technical proficiency with marketing & sales technology, are certified in Marketo (or have equivalent experience), & are proficient with Salesforce CRM.
- You have led martech implementations or migrations; experience with implementing a new Marketing Automation Platform (MAP) is a plus.
- You have demonstrated success in improving key marketing metrics through providing data insights & making processes more efficient.
- You have an analytic mindset, & are comfortable working in Google Sheets/Excel & BI tools (e.g. Tableau).
- You have excellent communication & people management skills.
Base compensation: $112,000 - $125,000. Total compensation for this role also includes incentive stock options & benefits. This compensation range may be adjusted based on actual experience.
