As a Purchasing Assistant Team Lead, you will take on a key responsibility in managing a team of Purchasing Coordinators within our International Supply Chain Operations function. Your role is critical in ensuring the accuracy & timeliness of our purchase orders to suppliers across all European markets. Working closely with the local Supply Chain teams, & Procurement your role will supervise the generation & distribution of purchase orders, contributing to our ongoing efforts to drive business success & enhance customer satisfaction.

What youll do
- Manage a team of Purchasing Coordinators to accurately & efficiently carry out purchasing activities across Europe for a specified category area e.g. Protein, Grocery, Packaging, etc. This will be done in coordination with your line manager.
- Category management of our inbound supply chain operations involving operational supplier management, forecasting, purchasing, delivery tracking & KPI management for food and/or packaging
- Accountability for key performance metrics including On Time, In Full (OTIF), Waste, ASN Compliance & customer errors for purchasing completed by you & your team
- Partner closely with HelloFresh supply chain cluster teams to execute daily operations through ruthless prioritization, clear governance & alignment on strategic initiatives.
- Ensure data accuracy & correct flow of information to relevant stakeholders involved in the daily activities.
- Proactively coordinate with your line manager to resolve issues quickly.
- Leverage a reporting framework to escalate & manage risks throughout the European supply chain.
- Regularly review your teams capacity with your line manager to reallocate resources effectively & strengthen the service capabilities.
- Generate documentation in the form of SOPs to ensure efficient onboarding & BAU operations of your team.
- Compile tooling requests & recommendations, propose improvements to existing processes
- Monitor reporting on performance of the Purchasing services, present to key stakeholders & provide actionable insights.
- Support to ensure that all team members meet their performance goals & deadlines.
- Serve as the subject matter expert of the team, role modeling problem solving behaviours
- Remain flexible & responsive to changing business needs, supporting on day to day tasks as needed & covering absences when required
What youll bring
- At least a four-year college graduate preferably with a strong background in Supply Chain Operations, Management or any Business-related course.
- At least two years experience working within procurement, supply chain and/or as a data entry clerk. People management experience preferred, interest in people management required!
- Working knowledge of office equipment & computer hardware & peripheral devices
- Experience managing or reporting on KPIs
- Experience using Microsoft Office & Google suite programs (ERP/MRP systems is a plus)
- Language: English, other European languages considered a plus (German, Dutch, French, Spanish, Italian)
