The Role:

The Data Strategy & Analytics Associate Director (Retail Focus) plays a critical role in ensuring client & company success by understanding our clients' tech, analytics, & data strategy, defining a learning agenda that directly ties to clients core business questions, & collaborating closely with internal teams & clients to deliver against it. You & your team will work to find insights that will improve and/or explain campaign & business performance, leverage innovative measurement technologies to make data-driven decisions, & recommend & implement new solutions where there are gaps in client tech. Youll have opportunities to build knowledge & expertise in specific solutions across reporting & visualization, MarTech tools, & measurement & will act as a leader & mentor for the analysts and/or managers on your team as well as the department more broadly.

The position requires strong quantitative & communication skills, a passion for advancing retail client marketing & measurement strategy, particularly within the Amazon ecosystem, a sense of personal accountability, & a desire to be part of a tightly-knit team thats out to change the industry.

While each client engagement is unique, you will:

  • Act as the senior point of contact across an assigned client portfolio, with ultimate accountability for measurement strategy & technology & clear, accurate delivery of insights & reporting
  • Collaborate with media & measurement partners to ensure effective adoption of the marketing technologies our teams leverage (ie: brand lift studies, data clean rooms, especially AMC, MMM partners)
  • Work with your teams to effectively translate data into information, quickly identifying & clearly communicating the so what to senior client leaders
  • Directly lead a team of 3-5 analysts & managers and, as a leader, provide strategic guidance & thought leadership across Keplers functional teams
  • In partnership with senior leadership, guide our departmental best practices, team staffing, training & development
  • Act as an early adopter for Keplers proprietary marketing tools & technologies, providing critical feedback to progress our toolkit & encouraging adoption across the organization
  • Inspire, coach & mentor staff across multiple disciplines

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 5-8+ years experience paid media/marketing analytics, statistics, digital media strategy, data science or ad tech
  • A background in retail media analytics is preferred
  • Ideally possess strong SQL knowledge, experience with AMC (Amazon Marketing Cloud) or other data clean rooms, & experience with driving testing agendas & designing advanced tests to the extent that they can support junior team members in developing analysis as well as business development & new client implementations.  
  • Strong background in analytics, statistics or strategic insights generation
  • Direct experience designing & measuring lift or incrementality experiments & familiarity with other digital marketing measurement solutions (e.g. MMM, attribution)
  • Strong client presence; experience building relationships & driving change at senior levels within enterprise organizations
  • Experience leading teams with proven ability to develop junior & mid-level staff
  • Ability to apply innovative thinking to solve complex marketing challenges, developing & prioritizing analytical roadmap to inform team decisions & client outcomes
  • Appetite for learning new technologies & interest in automating workflows through the use of AI
  • Process & detail oriented; takes a roll up your sleeves approach to leadership & best practice development
  • Excellent listening, written & verbal communication skills
  • Effective time management skills ability to prioritize & meet deadlines
  • BA/BS degree required

Total Compensation:        

  • Base Salary: $105,000 - $125,000
  • Target Annualized Discretionary Bonus: 5% ($5,250 - $6,250)
  • Target Total Cash: $110,250 - $131,250
