Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Financial Systems Associate to join our Accounting team.

About the role

The Associate, Financial Systems maintains & develops Oscars financial systems, analyzing existing processes, creating new processes for scale, & managing multiple projects simultaneously to support Oscars fast growing business.

You will report to the VP, Finance Transformation.

Work Location:

If you live within commutable distance to our New York City office ( in Hudson Square), our Tempe office (off the 101 at University Ave), or our Los Angeles office (in Marina Del Rey), you will be expected to come into the office at least two days each week. Otherwise, this is a remote / work-from-home role.  

You must reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, or Washington, D.C. Pay Transparency:

The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, & Washington is: $93,600 - $122,850 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $84,240 - $110,565 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscars unlimited vacation program & annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Support critical business strategies by maintaining & further developing the budget systems while collaborating with FP&A, Accounting, People, & other system partners.
  • Be the primary contact for financial systems (Adaptive Insights), create & revise configurations & customizations to meet evolving business & operational needs, including analyzing our requirements & translating them into efficient application configurations
  • Monitor deployment of additional cloud-based functionality/upgrades released for our financial systems (Workday/Adaptive), complete & coordinate testing & communication to partners
  • Manage business rules affecting calculations, allocations, & repositories built within financial systems for the purposes of facilitating our annual budgeting exercise & recurring forecasts
  • Develop, document, & implement policies, procedures, guidelines, & best practices to ensure data integrity & standardized end-user processes
  • Lead internal training & regular information sharing activities; Help create training & user documentation, & maintain ongoing documentation for processes as business needs evolve or features are added
  • Manage data integrations between our financial systems (such as into Adaptive Insights from NetSuite), including troubleshooting intermittent data and/or break/fix issues
  • Perform additional tasks related to the administration of our financial systems including cost centers (levels structure), G/L structure, & other relevant hierarchies required for reporting
  • Compliance with all applicable laws & regulations 
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of financial systems experience 
  • 2+ years Workday Financials experience

Bonus Points

  • Workday Adaptive Planning Certification training certifications 
  • NetSuite experience 
  • Google BigQuery experience 
  • Adaptive Planning implementation experience 
  • Knowledge of healthcare or health insurance

Pay Transparency: 

Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, & experience.
