Our summer internship program is a 10-week paid internship starting in June & ending in August based out of our NYC, LA, and/or London offices. Our DEI-focused program is designed to create sustainable pipelines to invest in SoundClouds future, discover new, diverse talent at all levels, & develop future leaders who will contribute to all business areas. 

Interns will be fully immersed in the team, receiving opportunities to enhance their skills, contribute to our mission, & prepare for a full-time role. Furthermore, interns will receive various professional & personal development opportunities, like mentorship programming, fireside chats with senior leadership, innovative stretch assignments, & the chance to participate in networking events with other SoundCloud employees across the organization.

SoundCloud is looking for an Intern to join the Music Intelligence Team.  They will work with the Artist & Community Specialist to help better identify & understand subcultures & communities on SoundCloud in order to inform marketing strategy, product opportunities, A&R, & generally keep the pulse of creativity on SoundCloud. The purpose of the role is to contribute to & expand on the team's routine processes & tools through tracking, reporting, & analyzing key music & streaming performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting in-depth research to better identify & comprehend subcultures & communities within SoundCloud
  • Using these insights to help the organization remain up to date on cultural trends & inform strategy across multiple departments
  • Contributing to the maintenance of the team's processes & tools by actively engaging in the tracking, reporting, & analysis of key music & streaming performance metrics
  • Build sustainable cross-functional relationships across the organization

Who You Are

  • Currently a student or recent graduate from an accredited university (Graduation date between Dec 2023 - May 2025 preferred) 
  • Engaged in the music industry or creative endeavors such as music blogging, artist management, events organizing that showcases a deep love for music
  • An analytical wizard with the ability to work with large data sets from multiple data sources with strong SQL skills
  • A versatile thinker successfully bridging SoundCloud cultural knowledge & cross-genre expertise, with analytical precision
  • An effective collaborator across diverse teams

Internship applications must be submitted by March 29th, 2024. 

The summer internship program will be 10-weeks from June 3rd, 2025 - August 9th, 2024. This is a full-time internship & will be hybrid based out of our London office. In-person attendance will be expected 2-3 times a week.
