About the role: What's in the Box

The Director of Group Accounting & Reporting plays a crucial role in preparing our consolidated annual & quarterly financial reports for the capital markets. You will ensure the consistent application of IFRS accounting policies across the HelloFresh Group & act as the subject matter expert for complex reporting matters. This position involves leading a team (~4 FTEs), partnering with global finance teams, & driving significant improvements in reporting processes & technology adoption.

What youll do: The Recipe

• Lead the preparation & consolidation of monthly, quarterly, & annual financial statements for the HelloFresh Group, ensuring transparent, clear, accurate, & timely disclosure to capital markets.
• Meaningfully impact the Global Finance team by implementing & improving finance & reporting processes & tools, focusing on applying technology, data, & automation.
• Act as a thought leader & key partner on accounting policy choices, judgment areas, & their financial reporting implications, driving compliance with IFRS standards.
• Ensure the integrity of financial data by implementing robust internal controls, conducting regular checks to identify & mitigate risks, & acting as a key partner to our Group auditors.
• Manage & inspire a team, providing direction & guidance while empowering them to make decisions within set parameters.
• Collaborate closely with global finance teams to ensure accurate & complete financial data & effectively communicate critical, highly complex information to all levels of the organization.
• Provide accounting & technical oversight on corporate finance topics, including business valuations, impairment testing, & WACC assumptions, working closely with FP&A & external advisors

What youll bring: The Ingredients

• ~10+ years of relevant experience in Auditing and/or Group Reporting, gained either within one of the Big Four consultancies or a sizeable, growth-oriented company.
• Accounting Knowledge: Possess expert-level knowledge of IFRS Accounting Standards & group consolidation principles.
• Strategic Capability: The capacity to identify future threats to the business & take action to minimize impact, while proactively seeking opportunities aligned with business needs.
• Analytical Skills: Sound analytical & logical reasoning skills, capable of analyzing & presenting complex data to inform decision-making.
• Communication: Fluent in English, with German skills being a plus; the ability to articulate a clear point of view & discuss it constructively with senior stakeholders.
• Entrepreneurial Mindset: Acts like an entrepreneur & consistently approaches situations with a growth mindset, bringing learnings & experience into action to achieve higher impact results
