The role

We are seeking a highly motivated intern to join our dynamic International Procurement Team as a Category Management Intern. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who is on the verge of completing their studies & is eager to gain hands-on experience in strategic procurement within a fast-paced & innovative company.

What youll do

• Support in the development & implementation of category strategies that align with the overall objectives & supply chain requirements.
• Assist in identifying, selecting, & managing relationships with key suppliers & vendors across multiple markets.
• Participate in supplier negotiations, learning the ropes to ensure the best possible terms & conditions.
• Contribute to the identification & implementation of cost reduction opportunities by leveraging volumes & improving processes in different markets.
• Collaborate in conducting make-or-buy analyses to facilitate well-informed strategic procurement decisions.
• Contribute to the development of cost models through in-depth analysis & assist in monitoring essential commodity prices to ensure fair & accurate pricing.
• Learn & support in forecasting future cost pricing by utilizing data, industry knowledge, & insights to make well-founded assessments.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to contribute to the execution of procurement projects & initiatives.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between category strategy & business objectives.
• Stay informed about market trends, regulatory changes, & emerging technologies to contribute insights & identify potential risks & opportunities.

What youll bring

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree from a top-tier college or university, preferably in business, engineering, supply chain, finance, or science.
• Enthusiastic mindset with a proactive approach, demonstrating the ability to take initiative & work independently.
• Effective communication skills & the ability to collaborate successfully within flexible team structures.
• Comfortable with managing tasks in a global team setting amid a reasonable degree of uncertainty.
• Eagerness to learn & contribute to managing complex projects, including the development of new processes, SLAs, & KPIs.
• Strong analytical skills & a willingness to develop quantitative capabilities.
• Proficiency in English is required, & knowledge of another European language (ideally French, Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese, Dutch) is a plus.
