As a visionary leader, you'll own the strategic direction & execution of our frontend platform & architecture. You'll champion innovation, anticipate future trends, & translate your vision into actionable plans that elevate the user experience & propel Sumo Logic forward. Beyond platform leadership, you'll also take the helm of our Dashboards team, a crucial piece of the Sumo Logic experience. You'll empower your team to build & refine intuitive, data-driven dashboards that empower our users to make informed decisions.

Impact & Responsibilities:

• Own Platform Experience Vision & Strategy: Drive the strategic direction for Sumo Logic's platform experience, aligning with overall product & business goals. Define the technology roadmap, anticipate future trends, & champion innovation.
• Lead a High-Performing Engineering Team: Build, attract, & retain a world-class team of frontend & fullstack engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, & professional growth. Guide individual development, delegate effectively, & empower ownership.
• Deliver Exceptional Customer Experiences: Ensure a seamless & intuitive experience for all users across the platform. Partner closely with product, design, & other engineering teams to translate vision into reality.
• Shape the Frontend Technology Landscape: Champion best practices, architect scalable & maintainable solutions, & advocate for continuous improvement through infrastructure & tool enhancements.
• Represent Frontend Engineering at the Executive Level: Articulate frontend challenges & opportunities to leadership, secure resources, & influence strategic decisions. Build strong relationships across the organization.

What You Bring:

• 15+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years leading high-performing engineering teams & at least 2 years of experience managing managers. 
• Proven track record of successfully scaling frontend platforms for large-scale applications.
• Demonstrated experience managing, building, & mentoring geographically dispersed engineering teams
• Expertise in modern frontend technologies (React, Redux, JavaScript, web platform) & cloud-native principles.
• Strategic vision & the ability to translate it into actionable plans.
• Exceptional communication & collaboration skills, influencing stakeholders & building consensus across diverse teams.
• Passion for building exceptional customer experiences & a drive to continuously improve.

  Sumo Logic Privacy Policy Compensation varies based on a variety of factors which include (but arent limited to) role level, skills & competencies, qualifications, knowledge, location, & experience. The Base Salary range for this position is $240-270k per year, + bonus + equity in the form of PIU's.
