Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Staff Software Engineer to join our Engineering team.

As a Staff Software Engineer you'll join our distributed team, leading the design & development of enhancements to our next-generation claims & payment processing systems. You will work on a broad problem space spanning contract & pricing configuration, system extensibility through our internally developed DSL, & data pipeline architecture & efficiency. You'll selective apply AI to solve hard problems, automating & improving processes that previously tedious & error-prone. Your focus will be on building scalable & reliable systems that ensure the accuracy & efficiency of our claims & payment processes.
You will report to the Director, Software Engineering.
Work Location: This position is based in our Tempe, AZ office, requiring a hybrid work schedule with 3 days of in-office work per week. Thursdays are a required in-office day for team meetings & events, while your other two office days are flexible to suit your schedule. #LI-Hybrid
The base pay for this role is: $192,000 - $252,000 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program, company equity grants, & annual performance bonuses.
