The role

Join HelloFresh as a Senior International Logistics Health & Safety Manager, a pivotal role in our International H&S team. You'll develop, implement, & manage a comprehensive health & safety framework for our logistics & 'last mile' operations. You'll be interacting with various stakeholders across International Logistics, local markets, International Ops, & Supply Chain teams, requiring excellent organizational, communication, & stakeholder management skills.

What youll do

• Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction for health & safety protocols across international logistics hubs. Ensure compliance with international safety regulations & oversee the execution of health & safety standards.
• Policy Development: Develop, update, & enforce health & safety policies, ensuring alignment with current legislation & best practices in the logistics sector.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work with diverse stakeholders in multiple countries, promoting a unified approach to safety management & challenging isolated processes.
• Safety Culture Advocacy: Foster a culture of safety within the organization by educating & empowering employees at all levels. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reinforce health & safety measures.
• Risk Management: Assess & manage risks, especially in last-mile delivery operations, & implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Data Analysis & Problem-Solving: Utilize both qualitative & quantitative data for informed decision-making. Collaborate with experts across domains to solve problems within your programs scope.
• Accident Investigation Leadership: Take the lead on serious accident investigations, analysing safety data to develop strategies for reducing workplace accidents & incidents.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate health & safety records & prepare reports for senior management & regulatory bodies.

What youll bring

• Proven Experience in Health & Safety: A background in managing health & safety within logistics or a similar field, with a focus on risk management, especially in last-mile operations.
• Data-Driven Approach: You should possess a strong inclination towards using both qualitative & quantitative data to inform decisions, ensuring improved safety outcomes. Your decision-making is grounded in rational reasoning, leveraging a balanced approach to data analysis to drive effective safety strategies
• Collaborative Spirit: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, coordinating with various departments to achieve safety objectives.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal & written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex safety concepts in an accessible manner.
• Qualifications/Experience: Minimum 5 years in a senior health & safety role, preferably in logistics. Demonstrated ability to improve safety standards & reduce incidents.
• Education: Level 6 or higher qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) preferred.
• Skills: Strong data-driven approach, excellent verbal & written communication skills, & ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Attributes: Highly structured, detail-oriented, & comfortable making decisions in fluid environments. Must possess the confidence & skill to engage stakeholders at all levels, including C-Level.
