The Product Manager is responsible for the development, launch, & continuous growth of in menu products for HelloFresh. The Product Manager will be part of a team focused on optimization & testing to drive the customer experience & commercial performance of in-menu products in Canada. In-menu encompasses menu expansion, surcharges, modularity, & more. This person will drive key decisions around product strategy, pricing, promotions, & positioning for a portfolio within this team.

You will rely on your ability to be highly collaborative & cross-functional, working throughout the business with global teams (e.g. international product) & local teams (culinary, procurement, tech, production, marketing) in order to get the work done. Ultimately, you will be the voice of our home cook community in the organization.

Lettuce share what this role will be responsible for

  • Develop compelling annual roadmaps, gain local & global signoff, & then execute with local & global teams
  • Build & manage the Profit & Loss position for your dual-brand innovation portfolio;
  • Lead & manage each roadmap initiative through the full product life cycle for new & renewed in-menu products, working with various teams locally & globally including our Culinary team!
  • Track & report performance of the product portfolio against targets on a weekly basis & in quarterly budget reviews with senior leadership
  • Work with local teams to generate action plans that close performance gaps; share ideas with counterparts in international markets
  • Work with tech, data, & research teams to continuously improve the product strategy through A/B testing, performance insights, customer feedback, & competitor analysis, along with the effects of price changes, promotions & marketing activities
  • Identify & implement continuous post-launch incremental improvement of insights, processes, approaches, & products to ensure CP & HF remain leaders & shapers of the Canadian Meal Kit market
  • All other duties, as assigned

  • Relevant university degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, Math, Engineering or other related field of study
  • 5+ years experience within either a commercial FMCG role, such as brand / category management, a top tier consultancy, or an e-commerce environment
  • Experience in launching a product(s) & being responsible for P&L & tracking performance vs roadmap
  • Outstanding project management skills, & the ability to keep multiple priorities moving forward at the same time
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to drive through product initiatives in a complex structure with global stakeholders
  • Ability to work data-driven business cases & make confident recommendations to get buy-in from senior leadership
  • A customer-centric mindset, including the ability to use data to identify unmet customer needs & pain points
  • A knack for creative thinking to develop solutions that solve our customers challenges
  • Proactive in finding opportunities in an ambiguous environment; able to identify, advocate for & execute on new opportunities
  • Detail-oriented & highly organized 
  • Passionate about creating the future & shaping the meal kit category, in Canada & globally
  • Excited to work in a fast-paced environment with constant change & limited direction, comfortable making split-second decisions & running with it
  • Obsessed and/or experienced  with food so you can work closely with the Culinary team
