Senior Data Analyst (RetailConvergence.com, LP, Boston, Massachusetts): As member of Business Analytics team, will lead efforts to solve some of the most analytically complex questions that our fast-growing ecommerce company faces. Will analyze the trove of data that the company has access to including web traffic, sales, & customer data & applying the results into actionable insights. Will focus on marketing analytics processes, beginning at customer acquisition, & continuing throughout their lifecycle.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Enable Marketers to make better informed decisions through elegant, accurate, & timely data visualizations & complex analyses.
  • Function as a subject matter expert on internal datasets, & key performance metrics, with a special focus on ad-tech channels & drivers of customer lifetime value.
  • Build & maintain dashboards to enable close monitoring of paid marketing programs, new customer performance, & identify opportunities to optimize a multimillion-dollar marketing budget.
  • Build & maintain statistical & datamining models that predict customer lifetime value (LTV) & purchase behavior.
  • Conduct statistical analysis & test business hypotheses to help institute a rigorous test-and-learn methodology to achieve desired results.
  • Develop consistent approaches & methodologies to automate repeatable tasks & drive process efficiencies.
  • Present statistical & business analytics insights from quantitative analysis & models to a non-technical audience.

Minimum Requirements:

Masters degree in in Business Analytics, Statistics, or a closely related analytical field of study & 2 years of data analytics experience in consumer, retail, marketing, ad-tech or another quantitative field. May be gained pre- or post-Masters degree.

Alternate Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, or a closely related analytical field of study & 5 years of data analytics experience in consumer, retail, marketing, ad-tech or another quantitative field.

Must also have:

  • Data analytics experience in consumer, retail, marketing, ad-tech or another quantitative field must include: a. Experience in database querying languages including SQL; b. Experience in data mining & statistical packages including R/Python or similar; & c. Experience in Tableau or a similar data visualization tool. 
  • Background working with technology teams including engineering, business intelligence, data warehousing & data science to implement data-analytics solutions. 
  • Strong background in databases & data warehousing techniques with the ability to create & optimize complex data queries. 
  • Demonstrated familiarity with statistical sampling techniques, hypothesis testing, design of experiments, & applications. 
  • Demonstrated track record multitasking over several projects simultaneously & working well within a dynamic, fast-paced, & growing organization. 
  • Background in designing complex predictive data models & translating the findings to a business use-case. 
  • Track record of excellent communication skills & the ability to work well in a close-knit team with a collaborative spirit.

Work location:

  • May work from home office anywhere in the US.
  • Will report to company management at company headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts

Expected Base Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000.
