About the Role

Location: 920 36 Avenue

Schedule: Thursday to Monday, 9am - 5pm

HelloFresh Canada is looking for a Production Sequencer who will be responsible for preparing & sharing weekly sequence plans for production of HelloFresh & ChefsPlate meals from our Edmonton distribution center (DC). As part of the Planning team, you will report to the Production Planning Manager, in your role you will play an integral part  in helping us deliver the best possible value to our customers through optimizing internal operations to meet customer delivery requirements. This role will work closely with Production, Operational Excellence, Procurement, Warehouse, & Logistics teams.

What you will be doing:

• Prepare & provide weekly sequence plans to the production team to meet outbound requirements while actioning additional opportunities to maximize efficiency
• Enhance production line productivity through strategic resource & task allocation & support seamless changeovers to minimize downtimes
• Drive key metrics by refining crewing strategy for various functions within the DC
• Identify operational bottlenecks & implement strategies to support continuous improvement from a production planning & sequencing mindset
• Collaborate with Production, Procurement, Warehouse, Operations Excellence & Logistics teams to align on a consensus sequence production plan & resolve any deviations from it
• Serve as the main point of contact for production planning-related issues, supporting root cause analysis initiatives & corrective action implementation
• Maintain production planning tools, related master data, & supporting dashboards
• Track & report variances between planned & actual labor schedules
• Report on planning KPIs including, but not limited to, production plan adherence, physical waste, labor planning, capacity accuracy, & cost metrics
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects & perform other duties as assigned

At a minimum, you have: 

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Business, Supply Chain, Operations or related fields
• 2 - 3 years experience in Supply Chain, Planning, Operations Management, Inventory Management or related fields
• Proficiency in software (Google Sheets, Excel) complemented with exceptional analytical & problem solving skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects & assignments, while being able to prioritize, achieve objectives, & meet deadlines
• Demonstrated ownership mindset, capable of working independently with minimal supervision, while also fostering collaboration & cross-functional teamwork with stakeholders from multiple departments
• Proven team player, with strong interpersonal & communication skills

Would be an asset if you have:

• ASCM certification (CSCP, CPIM)  or actively working towards
• Experience with SAP APO PP/DS or similar scheduling software
• Database management experience (e.g. SQL, Python, Tableau)
• Prior experience working safely within a production facility
• Prior experience in a fast growing company or startup environment
• Prior experience with meal kit delivery services
