Dropbox is rebuilding the foundation of its monetization & financial data systems - & at the center of that is our revenue & growth data platform. Were looking for a Staff Data Engineer to lead the design & delivery of this critical foundation, enabling insights & systems that drive ARR tracking, financial reporting, & product monetization.

Youll define architectural direction, elevate engineering standards across teams, & build scalable systems that directly power executive reporting, monetization experiments, & product strategy. Your work will have executive visibility and serve as a linchpin for Dropboxs monetization & growth strategy.

Responsibilities

• Architect the next-generation data platform for ARR, revenue attribution, & growth analytics - setting vision, driving alignment, & delivering at scale.
• Own & evolve core data models & systems used across Finance, Product, & Analytics teams, ensuring accuracy, trust, & accessibility.
• Lead platform modernization, including the adoption of scalable lakehouse architectures (Databricks, Spark, Delta), CI/CD for data, & observability frameworks.
• Drive adoption of scalable data practices across Dropbox through reusable tooling, process improvements, & cross-team collaboration.
• Partner with stakeholders (e.g., Finance, Product, Data Science, & Infrastructure) to understand data needs & deliver solutions that drive real business outcomes.
• Mentor & grow junior engineers, & cultivate a high-performing, innovation-driven team culture.

On-call work may be necessary occasionally to help address bugs, outages, or other operational issues, with the goal of maintaining a stable & high-quality experience for our customers.
