The role

As the leader of the HelloFresh Finance team in Ireland, you will be responsible for managing all relevant Finance processes while closely interacting with the local Operations & Marketing teams as well as the Global Finance team in Berlin. You will lead a growing finance team & form an important part of the leadership group for the Irish market, reporting directly into the HelloFresh Ireland CEO. We seek ambitious candidates that will bring an analytical rigor, intellectual drive & a  structured & proactive way of working, who enjoy collaborating, & are dedicated to details while managing competing priorities. Our ideal applicant has experience in FP&A, accounting & tax (food/retail industry experience is a plus but not a requirement), & is hungry to take on a challenge & make an impact at a fun, fast-growing, & mission-driven meal kit delivery service business.

What youll do

• Develop, lead & grow the Irish Finance team through identifying & hiring the right talent & effectively engaging, coaching & motivating your direct reports. 
• Take ownership of all things month-end close - reconciliations, month-end journals, analysis of budget variances, Group reporting pack.
• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including managing cash flows, paying supplier invoices, delivering regular & ad hoc reporting & responding to Finance-related employee queries.
• Work with the local finance team, internal & external tax advisors to ensure that all critical deadlines are met e.g. VAT returns, tax returns & statutory financial statements. 
• Lead quarterly/yearly budgeting & planning cycles.
• Work closely with local Supply Chain teams to provide insights & assist in decision making to hit bottom line financial targets.
• Responsible for finding & implementing solutions on complex issues (both financial & operational) with a constant mindset of continuous improvement e.g. day to day efficiency gains, internal control improvements & month end close process, tech/tool enhancements.
• Provide in-depth value adding analysis to both financial & non-financial senior management which could have a lasting impact on the group globally.
• Management of payroll onboarding, payment & related processes. 
• Report to the HelloFresh Ireland CEO

What youll bring

• Passion, drive & fantastic communication skills.
• A Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance at least; preferably a qualified CA/ACCA/CPA (or equivalent).
• A strong working knowledge of accounting concepts & standards.
• Minimum 5 years experience working in finance & accounting. 
• Previous experience of working in a fast-paced business & a role which involves hands-on accounting & a broad range of responsibilities .
• An eye & appreciation for detail & an understanding of data structures & complex systems/workflows.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets & exposure to an ERP system (experience with Oracle Fusion would be advantageous).
• Keen to grow with a fast-growing organisation & turn your experience with HelloFresh into a platform for future career growth.
• Proactive, ambitious, & assertive: you take ownership of your work & think beyond the scope of a given assignment.

• Previous direct team management experience is a requirement
