Aetion has a well established brand in life science companies that use regulatory grade data. This marketer will build on that positioning & drive further growth for Aetion by expanding the value of the brand within this & to new segments.  Aetion is scaling up its marketing team, so this marketer will lead other efforts as well, specifically leading the strategic & promotional efforts for the emerging biopharma (EBP) segment, in partnership with sales. The goals include increasing Aetions market share with this customer segment as well as its customer experience with the delivery team.


The following duties include, but are not limited to...

  • Establish the brand strategy
      • Oversee the brand strategy, including how to translate it to segments
      • Determine brand position relative to competitors
      • Monitor the performance of a brand (e.g., awareness, consideration, preference) through key performance indicators (KPI)
      • Define implications for partnerships & collaborations
  • Grow the brand value
      • Develop strategies to position the brand for growth across key offering segments
      • Manage pull through of the brand for all experiences including designing & supervising content such as press releases, artwork, print & digital media
      • Create budget & achieve financial & performance targets
      • Organize product launches & promotional events
      • Work with agencies to manage the brands marketing campaigns
  • Serve as the lead brand ambassador
      • Manage Executives efforts in support of the brand
      • Mobilize colleague efforts, in coordination with People Team & Internal Communications, to build brand championship throughout Aetion
  • Drive the performance of the Emerging Biopharma (EBP) Sector
      • Develop strategy & goals for the segment
      • Educate the organization on the segments unique needs, buying process, & competitor set
      • Manage promotional support for segment including designing & supervising content such as press releases, artwork, print & digital media
      • Create budget & achieve financial & performance targets
      • Work with agencies to manage the EBP marketing campaigns
      • Support broader product development & pricing for the companys offerings by providing segment perspective
      • Partner with sales, finance, & other teams to develop efforts & targets for the segment 
  • Provide leadership for broader customer efforts
      • Mentor other team members
      • Help establish best practice processes & approaches
      • Create & help implement key efforts to support Aetions customer priorities including customer events



  • Bachelor's degree (minimum) or equivalent. 
  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant marketing experience in the B2B space
  • Demonstrable experience in & commitment to the life sciences industry


  • 2+ years of brand marketing experience
  • Experience with life science services
  • Experience with B2B events production, specifically producing webinars & virtual/hybrid events
  • Equally adept at working independently & collaborating with others; self-motivation & willingness to take on responsibility & drive results
  • Comfort with ambiguity & ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment 
  • Creative mind with an ability to assess & suggest optimal solutions or improvements
  • Proven track record in managing projects to on-time, on-spec delivery
  • Excellent oral/written, formal/informal communication capabilities
  • Attention to detail; passion for delivering & enabling quality work
