Location: HWY 403 & Dundas St W, Mississauga

About the Role:

As the Workforce Planner & Administrator, you will oversee workforce planning, scheduling, & workforce performance reporting. You will report to the Site Director & will interact with Site Operations, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, & Contingency Worker Agencies on a regular basis.

What you will be doing:

  • Create a rolling-week labour plan with defined staffing risks & actions, recommended staffing levels & mix; based on the end objective of delivering on-time & on budget production plan
  • Facilitate regular alignment meetings with Production, HR, & agency partners to review labor plans, adjust for volume fluctuations, & ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of production goals.
  • Optimize labor deployment & shift design across different areas (Prep, Cook, Pack, Quality, Sanitation, Warehouse) to maximize line efficiency, minimize downtime, & match staffing to real-time production loads. Collaborate with Production & Planning to balance headcount based on daily meal targets, product mix, & throughput constraints.
  • Track & analyze workforce data & key metrics including internal vs. agency mix, attendance, absenteeism, attrition, & overtime to proactively identify labor risks & improvement opportunities. Build dashboards & reports that provide visibility into labor utilization & cost efficiency across departments.
  • Manage & reconcile internal & agency labor hours; review timesheets for accuracy, & ensure timely approval.
  • Oversee weekly scheduling processes, including schedule creation, availability requests & changes, & daily schedule adjustments; Ensure processes owners adhere to define planning & scheduling processes
  • Communicate & coordinate with employment agencies for daily labour management
  • Create & publish management reports on labour performance for eg: Scheduled plan vs target & review with respective departments.
  • Train & support define users on workforce planning & scheduling tools & systems
  • Work in compliance with OH&S acts & regulations.
  • Use personal protective & safety equipment & clothing as directed by the employer & report workplace hazards & dangers to the supervisor or employer.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support efficient labor operations & workforce optimization.
  • All other duties as assigned 

At a minimum, you have: 

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position within a production/supply chain industry
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to present & explain complex information to non-technical staff in a user-friendly way
  • Strong analytical skills & attention to detail; Proven ability to produce, analyze, & interpret complex sets of information to support the diagnosis of problems.
  • A clear passion for food & working in a fast paced production environment
