The role

For our ambitious & mission-driven team in Barcelona, we are looking for a Brand & Communications Manager to join our Marketing Team for a 9-month maternity cover. This role will play a pivotal part in shaping our customer experience via marketing communication & driving further growth of the brand in Spain. The position is expected to start no later than June 15th. 

As the Brand & Communications Manager, you'll be responsible for all brand activities for the Spanish market. By analyzing consumer insights & brand performance, you will lead the development of future brand & communication strategies & oversee their execution, aligned with our Global vision to grow the brand further in the Spanish market. You will manage a Copywriter & Content Creator.

What youll do

  • Lead the development & execution of the Spain brand plan, ensuring alignment with global vision & local strategic priorities
  • Analyze market trends & customer insights to inform high-level brand initiatives & strategies
  • Structure messaging & develop communication plans (including positioning, benefit, & sustainability messages) that apply to all marketing channels from advertising banners to influencers & organic social media posts
  • Define the testing roadmap & oversee the execution of compelling advertising banners & videos that address consumer barriers & resonates across key channels (including social, digital, & other channels) to drive efficient customer acquisition
  • Oversee local consumer PR including the management of the PR agency  (incl. PR roadmap, media seeding & press releases approval)
  • Manage budgets & utilize analytics to track brand performance against KPIs, optimizing for ROI
  • Enhance brand experience across the marketing funnel & customer journey by driving collaboration with local team members
  • Develop & implement product marketing plans to improve the customer experience, increase customer stickiness & uptake of our products
  • Oversee the creation & localization of a wide variety of consumer-facing content & the management of Social Media channels, via the management of a junior team member
  • Collaborate closely on all your responsibilities with both local & global counterparts
  • Report to the HelloFresh Managing Director & co-CEO

What youll bring

  • 5+ years of proven experience in brand management, ideally within the FMCG sector with a track record of developing & implementing successful marketing strategies
  • Experience managing agencies & experience with digital, influencer & PR channels are a must
  • Demonstrated success in leading & driving innovative initiatives from concept to launch cross functional teams
  • Familiarity with the Spanish media landscape & local trends, particularly in food & health
  • Keen eye for market trends & consumer behaviors
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of inspiring teams & collaborating across departments
  • High caliber profile: you are a fast learner, top performer & want to take on a new exciting challenge
  • Analytical thinking: you are very structured & have strong problem-solving logic & rigor.
  • Top notch ways of working: you set the bar really high in terms of collaboration & what good looks like
  • Proactive, ambitious, & assertive: you take ownership of your work & think beyond the scope of a given assignment
  • You are capable of both thinking strategically about challenges & rolling up your sleeves to get things done, with an eye for detail
  • At ease in a fast-paced & demanding environment & experience managing multiple stakeholders & priorities simultaneously
  • A growth mindset & a learning never stops attitude
  • Previous direct team management experience is a strong plus
  • Native Spanish speaker, fluency in English
