As a Strategy & Business Development Manager, you will be tasked with driving strategically critical & scalable growth initiatives. The specific immediate focus of the role will be in driving adoption & building a world-class experience forthe Compass Anywhere Program, a program that offers our agents the flexibility to work in more mobile & technology-enabled ways, driven by our proprietary technology, our best-in-class workplace experience, as well as a unique set of mobility offerings. This will involve owning the program end-to-end analogous to a program or product owner & actually going to market on the program in Compass's key local markets across the country.

At Compass You Will:

  • Collaborate on business development & strategic projects, working cross-functionally with stakeholders across the organization (including Sales, Marketing, Operations, & Finance) to drive growth opportunities together, identify key improvement opportunities across branding / operations / incentives alignment, & to increase the effectiveness & efficiency of how all functions work together
  • Evaluate potential growth opportunities based on local market dynamics, expected profitability, existing capabilities, & strategic value
  • Provide key research & analysis to support organic growth & assess potential acquisition opportunities in new & existing markets
  • Pilot exciting new revenue generation initiatives that have the potential for step-change impact on Compasss growth & long-term profitability
  • Build & operationalize compelling new offerings to add value to the agent experience at Compass
  • Developand presentmaterial that communicates our unique value proposition to agents, clients, & other real estate stakeholders
  • Manage key operational activities (e.g., tracking metrics dashboards, industry & competitive research)

What We're Looking For:

  • B.A. or B.S., M.B.A. or other advanced degree a plus
  • 4+ years of experience in finance, management consulting or corporate business development; start-up experience in a sales or marketing focused role a plus
  • Ability to drive customer-facing marketing, branding, & communications end-to-end
  • Polished visual, written, & oral presentation skills
  • Ability to own strategic, operational, & detail-oriented functional responsibilities
  • Experience with large data sets & ability to extract business insights from quantitative & qualitative analysis
  • Ability & appetite to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter attitude, tenacious & creative problem-solving, ability to exercise judgment & solve difficult problems without direct supervision
  • Strong interpersonal skills & glass-half-full mentality
