Role Description

As a Sales Finance Manager, you will be a key partner to our Sales & Channel Teams at Dropbox. You will play a crucial role in areas such as ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue), forecasting, planning, measuring the success of strategic initiatives, driving analytical insights, deal structuring & approvals, & evaluating resource investments. Your work will play a crucial part in ensuring Dropbox makes sound financial & strategic decisions that drive sustainable business growth. You will be plugged into every facet of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Run financial planning, forecasting, & reporting activities for the Sales & Channel Teams
  • Conduct advanced analytics, delivering impactful & actionable insights that drive decision making
  • Engaged with Sales teams on deal structuring & approvals
  • Drive ARR planning for Sales, including Sales capacity planning, driver based ARR modeling, & short & long range plans
  • Run monthly spend reviews & variance analysis
  • Collaborate with business partners in Sales, Sales Strategy, & Finance on additional ad hoc reporting as needed

Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant FP&A or Sales Finance experience in a fast growing tech environment preferred
  • Undergraduate degree required, along with knowledge of GAAP & understanding of financial statements
  • Knowledge of Software or SaaS industry preferred
  • Knowledge of Salesforce & Oracle systems preferred
  • Proficiency in modeling & analytics
  • Strong quantitative organizational & communication skills
  • You sweat the details & maintain a high level of integrity in your work
  • Self starter who enthusiastically drives projects
  • Youre able to build positive relationships with business partners

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Oracle (Smartview/Essbase) & Snowflake
  • Prior experience reviewing deals & structuring them
  • Experience with financial modeling

Total Rewards

Dropbox takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job & level they are hired into, location/metropolitan area, skillset, & peer compensation.  We target most new hire offers between the minimum up to the middle of the range. Dropbox is a Virtual First company & is open to hiring candidates across the U.S. However, for this role, the locations posted are preferred.

Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropboxs total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

Current Salary/OTE Ranges (Subject to change):
US Zone 1: $147,900 - $174,000 - $200,100.
US Zone 2: $133,100 - $156,600 - $180,100.
US Zone 3: $118,300 - $139,200 - $160,100.
 
Dropbox uses the zip code of an employees remote work location to determine which metropolitan pay range we use. Current US Zone locations are as follows:
US Zone 1: San Francisco metro, New York City metro, or Seattle metro
US Zone 2: Austin (TX) metro, Chicago metro, California (outside SF metro), Colorado, Connecticut (outside NYC metro), Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York (outside NYC metro), Oregon, Pennsylvania (outside NYC or DC metro), Washington (outside Seattle metro), Washington DC metro & West Virginia (DC metro)
US Zone 3: All other US locations
