About the job

As a member of the Content Marketing team at Twilio Segment, you will help build the media & publishing arm of Segment. Your role - Content Marketing Manager, SEO - will help new prospects organically discover our product, company, & content. 

 

Reporting to Segments Head of Content Marketing, this position is critical in supporting Segments organic growth efforts & driving traffic to the Segment blog & associated properties.

Responsibilities

In this role, youll:

  • Grow traffic to segment.com properties through organic search marketing programs.
  • Implement our SEO strategy together alongside our demand generation team.
  • Create engaging written content (articles, recipes, landing pages etc) that adhere to SEO best practices.
  • Optimize existing assets to improve search ranking.
  • Take internal-facing content & existing marketing collateral to repurpose them for search.
  • Work with our content team to ensure the content we create on the marketing site ranks for our priority search terms.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience working in an editorial capacity & a deadline-driven environment. 
  • Strong copywriting & proofreading skills. 
  • Strong interpersonal & time management skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects at one time. 
  • Ability to research complex topics & break down concepts into digestible chunks to deliver to a non-technical audience. 
  • Familiarity with the cloud, APIs, customer data communications, & enterprise software is a plus.
  • BONUS: Understanding of Twilio, Segment, or martech in general.
  • BONUS: A passion & strong understanding of the customer data platform industry & our mission

This role will be based in NY- USA
