Tripadvisor is looking for a Senior Commercial Licensing Specialist, experienced in content licensing & affiliate solutions to join our Commercial Strategy team. This person will be responsible for leading key global accounts sales strategy, contract negotiations, program implementation & daily account management across our Content Licensing, Syndicated Meta & Review Collection solutions. This role requires a proactive, highly motivated, team-oriented & tech-savvy candidate with a highly proven business development acumen who is able to excel in a fast-paced, data driven & entrepreneurial environment. The role will report directly to the Head of Business Development.
What Youll Do:
- Lead the end-to-end sales strategy & negotiation process for top priority, non-custom Content Licensing opportunities. Serve as the primary point of contact to answer questions, run reporting, provide guidance on best practices & troubleshoot any issues related to these opportunities. For opportunities requiring deep customization, collaborate with manager as needed.
- Manage end-to-end sales strategy & negotiations for Syndicated Meta & Review Collection opportunities. Manager to lead or support large, complicated deals as needed.
- Manage all day-to-day account management, execution needs & client relationships for all Syndicated Meta & Review Collection partnerships. Serve as clients primary point of contact to answer questions, run reporting, provide guidance on best practices & troubleshoot any issues.
- Serve as Content Licensing consultant to Account Executives for non-priority opportunities.
- Support Head of BD in evaluation of new opportunities with platform partners,working with product & leadership to pull business cases together & investigate feasibility & resourcing lift.
- Provide broad strategic support to Head of BD on POI partnership as it relates to priority platform partners currently licensing Tripadvisor data or actively exploring a data partnership.
- Liaise with sales, product, engineering, Content Solutions General Manager & other teams as relevant to lead customized solutions, pitch strategies & executional problem solving as needed. Manager to lead or assist for more complicated opportunities.
- Liaise with the legal team to formulate & finalize contracts for all Syndicated Meta & Review Collection opportunities. Negotiate partnerships fairly & ensure standards & compliance meet Tripadvisor corporate expectations.
- Lead, advise & support our partners in the implementation stage of their integration, including but not limited to, best practices, brand guidelines, weekly update calls, technical troubleshooting & testing by representing the Tripadvisor values.
- Identify areas to optimize existing integrations through data / competitive set analysis & quarterly partner business reviews. Execute against initiatives to reach & exceed target metrics.
- Maintain an accurate & organized overview of all of your account details & initiatives. Monitor & provide necessary information related to weekly pipeline & forecasting efforts.
- Advise leadership on opportunities to drive more efficient internal operational processes.
Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years experience in business development or account management at a leading hospitality, media or technology brand.
- Bachelors Degree, or equivalent
- Experience at building & growing client relationships through positive communication, honesty & trust.
- Demonstrated ability to close deals & think creatively around consumer needs, partner opportunities & potential solutions.
- Experience with cross-functional teammates to ensure client deliveries are defined, scoped & delivered within expected timeline. This includes: product, engineering, legal, finance, accounting, & other counterparts.
- Foundational knowledge of & experience with technical integrations (API feeds, wireframes, etc.), & enjoys problem solving & utilizing digital products to ensure successful project implementation.
- Target driven & proven self-starter with the ability to deliver on commercial targets through own efforts. Track record of exceeding targets through growing existing & signing new strategic accounts.
- Excellent prospecting, negotiation, presentation & analytical skills to ensure partnerships are secured & executed with optimum performance.
- Ability to utilize different data sources & reporting tools to identify areas of improvement.
