Role Description
The People Technology team at Dropbox is dedicated to enhancing the employee journey through efficient processes & smart systems. We are seeking a Senior Workday Analyst, Time Tracking & Absence to be our subject matter expert in Workday modulesspecifically Time Tracking & Absence, Talent & Performance, & Compensation. Youll take the lead on cross-functional enhancement projects, provide insights as our data expert, & represent Workday as we implement & integrate with other best-in-class tools. Responsibilities
- Optimize Workday HCM capabilities, focusing on Time Tracking & Absence, Talent & Performance, Compensation through process improvement, configuration, testing, training, & troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (People Operations, Compensation, Benefits, L&OD) to understand & improve business processes, providing Workday solutions that drive efficiency.
- Design & maintain Workday reporting & analytics, producing custom dashboards, reports, & ad-hoc analyses to support internal teams & leadership decisions.
- Support integrations & implementations as a Workday SME, ensuring seamless data flow between Workday & other People technologies.
- Build strategies to sunset legacy systems & manage data migration while adhering to data privacy & retention policies.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process efficiency & system improvements, adopting a product-driven mindset to optimize Workday's functionality.
Requirements
- Workday training or equivalent experience in HCM fundamentals, Business Process Configuration, Report Writing (advanced/matrix/composite reports), dashboards, EIBs, & related Workday features.
- Strong experience in Workday security, user identity & access management with a working knowledge of Okta.
- Experience implementing & maintaining SOX-compliant controls, conducting audits, & ensuring alignment with regulatory & security standards.
- Product-driven mindset, with a passion for continuous improvement & driving process efficiency in People technology.
- Analytical & collaborative problem-solving approach with the ability to understand not just the "what" but the "why" behind requests, showcasing empathy for business needs.
- Excellent communication skills (both written & oral), with a strong customer service focus & the ability to build relationships with both technical & non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience presenting data & ideas effectively across various audiences, from technical teams to executives.
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience preferred; Workday certification is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with full Workday project lifecycle management, from planning to change management & adoption.
- Enthusiasm for process improvement & a proactive approach to data integrity & exploring Workdays evolving features.
- Demonstrated ability to conceptualize employee experience as a product, with proven success applying product management principles (road-mapping, user journeys, feature prioritization) to HR initiatives
- Proficiency in leveraging design thinking methodologies to deeply understand employee needs, rapidly prototype experience solutions, & implement data-driven iteration cycles that measurably enhance engagement & retention
- Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools in the flow of work. Candidates with a pre-existing comfort level & familiarity using AI to enhance productivity are strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting to changing business needs while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in knowledge sharing across Workday teams to foster development, drive collaboration, & promote best practices.
