Were seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our Culinary team. The Kitchen Porter will report directly to the Head Chef.

Please note: candidate must currently reside in the UK & be able to work in the UK without sponsorship.

What Youll Do:

The Kitchen Porter will perform duties that maintain the cleanliness & organization of all food service department areas, utensils, equipment, & vehicles in a sanitized & orderly condition. We need someone customer-focused, with strong attention to detail, as well as someone highly motivated & ready to work in a team. • Care & cleaning of kitchen equipment, dish room, & pot washing areas:
  • Washes pots, pans, trays, & other cooking & serving equipment
  • May wash & peel vegetables & fruits
  • Operate & maintain dish room equipment according to sanitary standards
  • Follows principles of sanitation & safety in handling food & equipment
  • Transfer supplies & equipment between storage & work areas by hand or with the use of a hand truck
  • Removal of trash, separating into designated containers, & maintaining clean floor in kitchen & dining area
  • Steam cleanse and/or scrub out trash & garbage cans
  • Food Safety/Sanitation
  • Clean up spills in the kitchen, dining area, his/her own work area immediately
  • Complete shift work, as assigned, in a timely thorough manner in accordance with department standards
  • Inform the chef & manager in a timely manner when supplies are low
  • Follows & observes all company policies & procedures
  • Follows company standards for attendance & punctuality
  • Assist in catering orders, prepping & plating food
  • Assist other functions as needed
  • Maintain & refresh restrooms

• Responsible for Food Safety/Sanitation:
  • Responsible for ensuring proper presentation, portion control, & maintenance of proper serving temperatures follows HACCP standards
  • Maintains sanitation & orderliness of all equipment, supplies, & utensils within the work area
  • Handles & ensures that all deliveries are properly stored, according to both state & federal health regulations
  • Keeps display equipment clean & free of debris during meal service as assigned
  • Cleans equipment, as assigned & in a timely fashion
  • Cleans workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments

• Customer Service:
  • Represents the company in a courteous, efficient, & friendly manner in all customer & employee interactions
  • Interacts with customers in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Greets customers courteously
  • Relays relevant comments from customers directly to supervisors
  • Interact with customers & resolves customer complaints in a friendly & service-oriented manner
  • Consistently exhibits the ability to keep up with peak kitchen hours & does so calmly, accurately, & efficiently

What We Look For: 

• Minimum High School graduate/GED equivalent preferred
• Previous experience preferred
• Flexible & long hours sometimes required
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, & place objects up to 25 pounds without assistance
• Ability to reach overhead & below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, & stooping
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
