Your Role
At team x, we are about implementing next-gen production solutions that enables engaging, hyper-realistic digital product experiences. Our goal is to make "every product playable", by combining the science of technology with the artistry of computer-generated content. Our CG artists, interactive designers, & developers focus on creating virtual versions of our clients' products, so lifelike it feels like you could reach out & touch them. As a VFX Supervisor at team x, you will be responsible for leading & executing high-quality visual effects across various projects. Your role involves collaborating closely with Creatives, Producers, Artists & Clients to define & implement our Unreal world vision. You will help translate the Creative vision into CGI production, triaging briefs, educating clients & internal teams & managing expectations. You will work from pre-production through post-production, ensuring that all VFX elements are designed, executed, & integrated seamlessly into the final product. You will also provide technical expertise, overseeing the pipeline & troubleshooting challenges to maintain the highest quality standards. This role isnt just about maintaining the status quo, its about becoming a trusted VFX advisor who anticipates client or creative needs & provides a technical & considered POV.
You will act as a mentor to VFX artists, driving innovation & excellence while fostering a culture of collaboration. Additionally, you will represent team x externally, staying ahead of industry trends & positioning the agency as a leader in next-gen production & immersive digital storytelling.
Our key deliverables are Realtime/next-gen production solutions working in platforms like Unreal Engine & Unity. You will work across different creative, production & technical teams as well as global offices. Its important that you have the experience & skills in this area to support the client in times of change into a new way of working (moving from traditional to virtual production) as well as supporting operational excellence across these cross-functional teams.
Your Responsibilities
- Oversee & manage the full VFX pipeline from pre-production through to post-production, ensuring seamless execution & high-quality output.
- Manage large projects & coordinate the CG output & quality control, from concept to completion
- Provide key POV & expertise in both traditional & real-time render use cases, particularly for the automotive world
- Work closely with directors, producers & internal creative teams to define & implement the VFX vision for each project.
- Lead the CGI team across multiple disciplines, including modelling, lighting, animation & VFX.
- Work in collaboration with a Process Engineers & Technical Director to ensure the most efficient processes, pipeline & automation
- Responsible for the overall quality, direction & vision of the CGI studio
- Oversee the digital capture of live-action shoots & the subsequent integration into the VFX pipeline, ensuring that footage is optimally captured for post-production workflows.
- Oversee post-production processes, maintaining creative consistency & ensuring that all VFX elements meet the highest quality standards.
- Troubleshoot & resolve technical challenges, continuously innovating to improve production efficiency.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, & technological advancement within the team. Must be up to date with the latest trends, software & approaches, especially within automotive.
- Represent team x externally, showcasing our capabilities & expertise in next-gen VFX production
Your Experience
- Must be fluent in German & English
- A seasoned VFX professional with extensive experience in commercials, film, or television production. Ideally with good experience in the Automotive sector
- A skilled leader capable of managing & motivating teams of VFX artists to achieve exceptional results.
- Highly proficient in CG pipelines, with a strong understanding of modeling, lighting, animation, & FX
- A problem-solver with the ability to troubleshoot technical & creative challenges in complex VFX productions.
- Experienced in on-set supervision, providing critical expertise to ensure VFX integration aligns with the final creative vision.
- A strong communicator who can effectively liaise between clients, directors, producers, & internal teams.
- Passionate about innovation, always seeking new ways to push the boundaries of digital production.
