The Box Legal team is looking for a Contracts Manager to join the VendorLegal group, which provides legal support & counseling for all of Boxs procurement & corporate purchasing worldwide. You'll report to the leader of the VendorLegal team & join a cross functional group that oversees vendor relationships at Box that includes our Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Trust teams. Your role will focus on drafting, negotiating, & closing commercial transactions for Boxs purchase of a variety of goods & services, with a particular focus on professional services engagements & marketing activities. You will also be a critical stakeholder in cross-functional programs to improve the vendor onboarding process for Box employees & our vendors.

This role will be based in Redwood City, CA, Chicago, IL or Austin, TX.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Serve as a primary legal reviewer for many of Boxs vendor contracts, with a focus on professional services & marketing engagements; draft, review, & negotiate framework agreements, statements of work, order forms, & related legal documents with support from supervising attorneys.
• Collaborate with members of Boxs Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Trust teams to ensure timely review & approval of requested vendor engagements.
• Assist with managing & organizing Boxs vendor contracts, update templates, & conduct research on preferred legal terms & negotiating positions.
• Advise internal clients on contract status, legal risks, & business terms of various vendor engagements.
• Work on projects to drive improvements to the vendor review process & train business stakeholders on legal issues.
  
  

WHO YOU ARE

• 1 4 years of relevant contract management experience, preferably with knowledge of procurement & sourcing processes.
• Experience with commercial contracting concepts applicable to vendor engagements, ideally with knowledge of related privacy & intellectual property issues.
• Attentive with a detailed approach to reviewing & redlining contracts & the ability to explain company positions & policies courteously, succinctly, & persuasively to both counterparties & internal stakeholders.
• Able to synthesize & explain commercial legal issues to business stakeholders in connection with vendor engagements.
• Able to balance competing priorities & manage several time-sensitive projects at once in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
• Have a track record of positive collaborative experiences with the ability to manage projects comfortably & effectively with multiple stakeholders.
