The Trailhead program is the start of your epic journey at Critical Mass. During your initial 12-weeks, you will embark on a custom-built learning journey to understand what we do, who we are, & how we make award-winning work with our clients. Our goal is to integrate you into the amazing work we do here at Critical Mass, & support you as part of the team to grow your career with us! 

Our Summer 2024 Trailhead Cohort will likely commence June 17, 2024.

The Associate Strategist role will be an integral part of the Strategy team & will be responsible for delivering & supporting all service areas within the department & across multiple projects. The Associate Strategist has a keen ability to find & communicate consumer insights, inspiring powerful creative ideas. They obsess about finding the human truth in the why as much as the data. This position provides a unique opportunity to not only participate in consumer & industry research, but to garner & hone new skills in performance marketing for a company that is looking to change the future of digital marketing. 

You Will:

  • Perform research, online competitive & best practice analyses that supports client projects 
  • Help to define, execute, & implement digital marketing initiatives within common digital channels including social, display, programmatic & digital video 
  • Help to translate performance marketing data into strategic recommendations for improving brand campaign concepts, customer voice, RTBs/messages & rationales through a detailed summary report, briefs & POVs 
  • Help to define measurement strategies partnering with our Marketing Science team to support ongoing strategy development & site or program optimization. 
  • Help to run test & learn programs within key campaigns with a focus on driving performance insight & optimization strategies 
  • Communicate research findings to project team members and, potentially, clients 
  • Create, distribute, & present research overviews on customer experience topics or specific client industries 

You Have:

  • The ability to use, analyze, & translate data - making connections to the big picture 
  • A passion for social, cultural & technology trends 
  • An understanding of digital marketing 
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, flexible environment
  • Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrate attention to detail while maintaining overall understanding of the big picture
  • A collaborative approach conducive to working in a cross-discipline team environment
  • Post-secondary education, certification, or experience in a related field preferred
