The role
The National Account Manager Independent Grocery (NAM) is responsible for delivering Independent Grocery channel budgeted sales revenue. This channel includes the management of all structured Independent Grocery national customers & the distribution network for the channel. In addition to growing our existing customers, you will be responsible for wining & on-boarding new business of scale.

What youll do
- Development & implementation of QTRLY business reviews, category reviews & joint customer plans
- Coordinate & communicate with all relevant internal departments including logistics; distribution, accounts, marketing, creative & operations.
- Achieve revenue, margin & contribution targets for customer groups
- Utilise consumer insights & analyse data to identify & maximise existing business and drive new opportunities, with IRI
- Coordinating campaigns & promotions with key customers, aligning our internal campaigns with key customer groups.
- Forecast annual, quarterly, & monthly sales revenue & volume
- Conducted competitor analysis, understanding market trends & make strategic recommendations for future planning.
- Meeting with Merchandise & Category Managers, Franchises & Group Marketing Managers to plan, monitor & review activity.
- Manage the execution of all activities including accountability across the field team and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of all work.
- Set & achieve goals & KPI's for your channel.
- Following timelines & company marketing calendars.
- Drive brand & culture consistency across all touch points.
- Analysis of results & insights to improve overall strategy for Retail.
- Brainstorm new & creative growth strategies.
- Always challenge the status quo & innovate
What youll bring
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in business, marketing or like field desirable
- Current AU drivers licence
Experience Essential:
- 4 years experience in FMCG sales leadership / account management and/or business development
- Track record in negotiating trading terms & range reviews with major customers
