Regional Marketing Manager, East & West
We are seeking a Washington DC-based Regional Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team. The Regional Marketing Manager will report directly to our VP of Sales. The Regional Marketing Manager role will require frequent onsite presence & familiarity with Convene's 10+ properties in our East & West regions, including occasional travel to markets outside of DC. This role may expand with Convene's growth.
What Youll Do:
The Regional Marketing Manager will be responsible for overseeing marketing efforts in our East & West Regions including but not limited to DC, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, & San Francisco. This role involves supporting national & local marketing initiatives, developing & executing local marketing strategies, & collaborating with local operations, sales, & revenue teams to optimize performance & achieve opportunity & revenue goals.
This person will also work closely with the Performance & Brand Marketing teams, the Demand Generation team, with local property teams, & operations teams regarding their marketing needs for both local & national programs. They are the key liaison between the Brand/Corporate Marketing division & the local teams. They work to drive funnel/revenue, awareness, & bring Convenes portfolio of brands & its specific products & solutions to life.
The ideal candidate will be someone who is comfortable taking initiative, loves solving problems & will thrive in a fast-paced & growing environment where cross-functional collaboration is paramount. They will also have proven experience working with cross-functional stakeholders as a team.
Overview:
- Support the development & implementation of a regional marketing plan & calendar for assigned markets that are an extension of & supports national initiatives (holistic regional campaigns are inclusive of but not limited to email campaigns, events, activations, press, partnerships & barters, & more)
- Responsible for regionalizing & executing the global brand campaigns, personalized for their market
- Measure, evaluate & provide reporting on regional & national marketing initiatives
- Work with local leadership to evaluate local trends in assigned segments or new, but related markets to determine segment penetration opportunities & strategies
- Provide support with the regional marketing budget & provide guidance on usage throughout individual properties
- Work cross-functionally with sales, revenue, operations, real estate, sales, people & culture & finance departments
- Support the local sales teams for pre-sell business development efforts
- Identify & support local community & networking events, bringing them to the attention of appropriate commercial counterparts
- Represent company at local, regional & national meetings with customers
- Support all in market openings, closures, conversion, as well as mergers & acquisitions through go to market planning & execution
Partnerships, Community & Events
- Assist with the coordination of the planning & implementation of regional Convene property events such as pre-opening events, opening events, hosted events, loyalty & client appreciation events, etc
- Provide support for Convene-attended local trade shows & marketing events as appropriate
- Build key relationships with local community partners, vendors, landlords, property managers, & like minded brands
- Drive partnership agreements & potential barters with regional associations, industry bureaus & local businesses
- Develop expertise in regional market landscape, such as regional buyer personas, trends, pain points, & variances
Product & Brand Marketing Communications
- Provide content & admin support for various online channels, including emails, social media, blogs, job postings, etc, developing locally relevant templates & approaches to systematically support collateral, events, & operational needs
- Develop relationships with local influencers & be prepared to write & promote business-specific communications (i.e. new awards, milestones, corporate initiative announcements, openings)
- Work closely with local leadership on a daily basis to educate teams on regional & national marketing initiatives
- Establish consistent, local positioning/branding image throughout product lines, promotional materials & events
- Ensure compliance with Convene brand guidelines for all regional & local marketing materials & consistency of messaging across all communications
What We Look For:
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, project management, events, or partnership management
- Experience leveraging data to make informed decisions
- Detailed oriented
- Problem solver with strong communication & organizational skills
- Ability to be a team player in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Proficient editing skills to review & provide feedback for written materials
- Proficient in Google Office Suite
- Partnership experience a plus
- Experience with commercial real estate, architecture, or hospitality is a plus
- Familiarity with Marketing technologies in automation (e.g. HubSpot), event (e.g. Eventbrite, Bizzabo), CRM (e.g. Salesforce) & optimization (e.g. Google Analytics) a plus
- Knowledge of social media platforms, associated media requirements, & best practices a plus

Base Salary:
Salary Min: $80,000 Salary Max: $90,000
This role is eligible for base salary plus performance-based variable commission (paid quarterly). Salary will be commensurate with experience.
