Role Description
Responsibilities
Operational Strategy & Execution
- Design & lead legal team workflows, policies, & processes to improve efficiency.
- Implement & manage legal technology tools (e.g., CLM, eBilling, matter management).
- Drive legal department KPIs, reporting, & dashboards to measure performance & value.
Vendor Management
- Oversee outside counsel & legal vendor arrangements, onboarding & billing.
- Manage legal team's tech stack & collaborate with IT as needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with IT, Finance, Procurement, Compliance, & other key teams on operational initiatives.
- Ensure smooth communications between legal & business stakeholders.
Knowledge Management
- Maintain centralized repositories for contracts, templates, policies & legal knowledge.
Project & Change Management
- Lead or support legal projects from planning to execution, including process improvement & change adoption.
- Identify opportunities for automation & implement solutions to reduce manual workload.

- Tech industry experience & familiarity with commercial transactions strongly preferred.
- Background experience with legal systems & technologies such as Ironclad, ServiceNow, & Brightflag knowledge are a plus, but not required.
- Strong track record for project management & process optimization.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, interpersonal & organizational skills.
- Eagerness to learn new things & ability to navigate complicated & nuanced issues.
- Familiarity with contracting & procurement processes, as well as with negotiating, drafting & advising clients on commercial contracts is a plus but not required.
- BA/BS from a top university & excellent academic credentials.
