Job Description

As the Maintenance Electrician you will be responsible for maintaining all equipment at Youfoodz. This includes both scheduled preventative maintenance & reactive maintenance, responding quickly to breakdowns & production interruptions. Working closely with production staff, the Maintenance Electrician plays a key role in ensuring equipment runs safely, reliably, & efficiently. In addition to daily maintenance responsibilities, this role will also support capital projects & equipment upgrades as needed.

This role is based in Karawatha, Brisbane & reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor.

You will

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment to ensure optimal operation & minimise downtime.
• Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests & equipment breakdowns from production staff.
• Diagnose & troubleshoot electrical faults to implement timely repairs.
• Assist in the installation, commissioning, & testing of new equipment during capital projects.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work completed & parts used.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards & electrical regulations at all times.
• Collaborate closely with production & engineering teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for improvements in equipment reliability & maintenance processes.

You have

• Trade qualified electrician
• Open manual car licence
• 5+ years experience maintaining electromechanical machinery
• 3+ years experience in food industry maintenance, with knowledge of HACCP & GMP standards
• Experience with automated machinery & PLC programming
• Mechanical fault-finding skills & Desirable: Forklift licence & stainless TIG welding & fabrication skills

Start Date: Immediately available - Can wait a notice period

Duration: Permanent full time role. You must have the right to work full-time in Australia/New Zealand.
