A Software Architect serves as the team leader for the innovation & creation of new company software standards & technology direction. From software coding to innovative design, a Software Architect is the key to creating a seamless software experience for customers. A Software Architect works on both technical & design aspects of a project in addition to providing non-technical guidance to the organization. Creativity as well as a detailed understanding of coding & leadership skills are essential. A proficient Software Architect will possess leadership qualities & seek to continually improve their skill-set. A Software Architect should also be comfortable helping to refine product requirements with Product Managers to ensure products & features are logically compatible with various other systems across the platform.
As a Software Architect, you will
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills & the ability to explain complex concepts to a wide array of audiences
- Collaborate with team members to determine best practices & requirements for software
- Oversight & approval of all final programs & products before formal launch
- Oversee & support the coaching & training of team members to ensure all necessary employees are confident in the use of software applications
- Actively seek ways to improve business software processes & interactions
- Use a proactive approach to common challenges by continually researching best practices in coding
- Design systems for security, scalability, stability, availability, performance, & long-term maintenance
- Troubleshoot coding problems quickly & efficiently to ensure a productive workplace
- Help refine complex product requirements in a highly technical product while keeping the customer experience at the forefront
What youll need to be successful
- 8+ years of experience in architecture, designing & implementing software applications
- Experience working on large-scale software projects
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, microservices architectures, & large scale platforms desirable
- Demonstrated knowledge of web applications, cybersecurity & open source technologies
- Experience developing software utilizing various languages including, Go, PHP , Python & more
- Outstanding collaboration & communication skill are essential
- Experience overseeing customized development of processes for multiple projects simultaneously
- Professional experience analyzing code for weaknesses & errors, & overseeing plans to improve them
- Experience designing secure software systems based upon industry-specific specifications
Extra credit if you have
- Knowledge of ML, Bigdata, Snowflake.
