Our summer internship program is a 10-week paid internship starting in June & ending in August based out of our NYC, LA, and/or London offices. Our DEI-focused program is designed to create sustainable pipelines to invest in SoundClouds future, discover new, diverse talent at all levels, & develop future leaders who will contribute to all business areas. 

Interns will be fully immersed in the team, receiving opportunities to enhance their skills, contribute to our mission, & prepare for a full-time role. Furthermore, interns will receive various professional & personal development opportunities, like mentorship programming, fireside chats with senior leadership, innovative stretch assignments, & the chance to participate in networking events with other SoundCloud employees across the organization.

SoundCloud is looking for a Product Marketing Intern to join the Growth & Product Marketing team.  They will work directly with the Director of Product Marketing to drive growth across our Creator business. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in developing market insights, differentiate SoundCloud against our competitors, guide decision making, & contribute to product marketing areas such as positioning, messaging & go-to-market (GTM) strategy. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior team members in collecting & analyzing data related to competitors' strategies, products, & market positioning
  • Contribute to the synthesis of competitor movements into newsletters, alerts, & executive reports
  • Aid in building & maintaining a full understanding of SoundClouds market & competitive landscape, including trends & SoundClouds strengths/weaknesses
  • Provide insights to influence positioning, messaging, GTM strategy, product roadmap, & special projects
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product, revenue enablement, & leadership, to effectively gather & communicate insights
  • Support the creation & updating of competitive battlecards & associated messaging for campaign content
  • You will get exposure to a broad group of teams & work closely with Marketing, Product, & Strategy & Operations.

Who You Are

  • Currently a student or recent graduate from an accredited university (Graduation date between Dec 2023 - May 2025 preferred) 
  • Demonstrates a strong growth & analytical mindset to deliver research & recommendations on various MCI initiatives (both strategic & responsive to real-time events)
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills, with ability to clearly articulate impact & work cross-functionally across multiple internal teams
  • Self-starter, with a passion for research & analysis, & compiling insights into a compelling point of view for company stakeholders
  • Collaborative & agile mindset to manage multiple projects with team members across the company
  • Deep Interest in the tech industry, including market trends, innovation, & key competitors in the space

Internship applications must be submitted by March 29th, 2024. 

The summer internship program will be 10-weeks from June 3rd, 2025 - August 9th, 2024. This is a full-time internship & will be hybrid based out of our Los Angeles office. In-person attendance will be expected 2-3 times a week.  

The salary for interns based out of our New York or Los Angeles offices will be $6950 paid over the course of the 10-weeks.
