The Role:  

The Salesforce (SFDC) Administrator is responsible for owning aspects of our SFDC instance related to our end-to-end sales, customer success & customer support journey. You will be responsible for optimizing our sales motions & internal customer experience by enhancing our tools, processes & data. Youll design, configure, & deploy innovative solutions in our SFDC instance & other tools in our Sales tech stack to deliver a best-in-class sales & customer success experience for our teams. Youll manage a portfolio of projects, sprint items, hot fixes, & day-to-day tasks that are critical to ensure business continuity & growth. Youll also collaborate with our Sales, Marketing, & Finance teams on cross-functional initiatives to gather requirements, scope work, & execute on deliverables. You will serve as a functional owner of SFDC Sales, Service & CPQ components & work directly with business stakeholders, project managers, & analysts to understand business needs & transform those into functional & technical requirements which can be executed on. We will look to you as a trusted advisor in helping us maximize the benefits we derive from SFDC & our other Sales & Customer Success tools & help shape the evolution of our Sales & Support Tech stack.

Reporting to the Manager of Customer Optimization Technology, youll be part of a team made up of training & sales enablement professionals, project managers, SFDC Administrators & Developers, & revenue operators who will work closely with you to ensure both individual & team success. Youll get to work on projects & initiatives that impact all areas of our company & our end users. One week you may be working on developing tools & processes that enable our sales team to quantify customer goals; the next week youre creating automation to get Newsela teachers answers to their support questions quickly & efficiently. Your work will enable our Sales & Customer Success teams to expand Newselas reach, & ultimately get engaging, culturally responsive learning content into the hands of K-12 students & teachers nation-wide.

Why Well Love You:

You have 2+ years experience managing Salesforce instances, projects, & initiatives, & possess working administrator-level knowledge of Salesforce (Sales, Service, & CPQ) including but not limited to workflow rules & advanced formulas, release management, data migration & cleansing, & managing multiple development environments. You have demonstrated success managing projects from end to end - scoping, requirements gathering, design, development & deployment. Youre able to learn systems & new tools by testing functionality & evaluating how its been set up to understand how it works. You should also be able to speak to the quality assurance steps you follow to ensure your work is free of issues. While not required, experience administering enterprise sales & customer success tools such as Outreach, Gainsight, FormAssembly & Highspot are nice to have. Salesforce Administrator, CPQ Administrator, or Service Cloud certifications are also a plus.
