Role Description
As Sponsorship & Events Manager on the Dropbox DocSend team, you will own the strategy, execution, & goals for sponsorship initiatives & internal & external events, including conferences, seminars, webinars, & digital sponsorships.
Youll proactively identify opportunities for sponsorship & meeting presence aligned with DocSends strategic priorities & partner with teams across DocSend marketing & the wider business to orchestrate a sponsorship & events calendar that helps meet our business goals. Youll also work with partners across DocSend marketing to develop pre-, during, & post-event campaigns to ensure a thoughtful, engaging experience designed to turn leads into DocSend customers.
As the owner of our events & sponsorship strategy, youll also manage the sponsorship & events budget, & work with our Marketing Analytics team to track & analyze the performance of these initiatives, using this information to evaluate their success & impact on brand awareness & ROI, & optimize future campaigns.
This is a highly cross-functional role, & the successful candidate will be expected to interface with a broad array of internal teams from both DocSend & Dropbox. Its an exciting time to join the DocSend teamyou'll have the opportunity to make a major impact on DocSends growth & continued success.
Responsibilities
- Own strategy, execution, & goals for internal & external events (virtual & in-person) & sponsorship initiatives, including conferences, seminars, webinars, & digital sponsorships.
- Manage event & sponsorship budget, including tracking spend against forecast, budget reconciliation, & getting sponsors & vendors onboarded through Dropboxs procurement & legal process.
- Proactively research & identify opportunities for sponsorships, aligned with DocSends strategic priorities.
- Vet & secure sponsorship, exhibiting, & speaking opportunities while partnering with DocSend Marketing & other key stakeholders within the business (Partnerships, Product, Field & Channel, Customer Marketing) to orchestrate an events calendar that helps meet our business goals.
- Work with the Marketing Analytics team to track & analyze the performance of events & sponsorships, using this information to evaluate their success & impact on brand awareness & ROI.
- Manage stakeholder communications, including creating project plans, conducting launch meetings, coordinating co-marketing opportunities, & reporting on performance.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years experience in event marketing and/or sponsorships, with a proven track record of successfull pre-, during, & post-event campaign execution
- Experience developing & executing virtual events end-to-end, including concept, promotion, execution, & post-event promotion follow-up
- Excellent project management skills: Runs a tight ship in their work & is detail-oriented when it comes to process
- Team player who thrives in a highly collaborative environment & has a proven track record of working with cross-functional stakeholders to get the best results
