Advertising Sales Manager

Job Location: Mountain view, CA

Job Type: Full-Time, Onsite

About the Role

Baidu Global Business Team is seeking a motivated & results-driven Advertising Sales Manager to join our team. We have built a new AI-powered advertising platform (Demand Side Platform, or DSP) in the market & are looking to tackle the performance industry with a focus on data-driven outcomes, leveraging our 22 years of advertising expertise to power our algorithm. Our advantage is truly our technology, performance & speed to market. This is an opportunity to be on the ground floor of the fastest growing DSP in the market & we are looking for a sales leader to guide our efforts.

  • Bring relationships with performance display advertisers to Baidu MediaGo DSP to help clients drive performance (CPC/CPA/CPL) outcomes
  • Independently build a large pipeline of sales leads (direct response, lead generation, personal finance, insurance, direct-to-consumer etc.) to drive test IOs for consistent deal flow
  • Work with the Account Management team to effectively manage client expectations, ensure successful campaign delivery & help set the expectation for future potential growth
  • Own the end-to-end pitch process for select upper-funnel advertiser clients
  • Manage a robust pipeline & accurately forecast new business closure rate & revenue
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends & developments, as well as competitors offerings & strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience selling digital media, with a focus on performance native & display advertising
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in performance advertising, including prospecting, navigating complex organizations, & closing deals with key decision-makers
  • Strong relationship-building skills with clients, agencies, & internal stakeholders to drive trust, retention, & long-term partnerships
  • Proactive in developing new client relationships through calls, emails, social media, in-person meetings, & networking events
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to gather business intelligence, identify trends, & leverage data to inform sales strategies & client recommendations

Base Salary Pay Range: $80,000 USD - $120,000 USD
