The Role

BuzzFeed is looking for a Post Production Coordinator to join our Los Angeles Post-Production team in a project-based capacity. Were looking for someone who can coordinate multiple feature-length projects simultaneously & has a strong interest in vertical video series.  This role will be required to go into the LA office as needed (2-3 days in the office, 2-3 days at home), & 40/hrs a week is required. 

You WIll

  • Collaborate with Post Production Supervisor to oversee daily tasks & resourcing for feature-length content 
  • Track & manage Post Production process, tasks, & schedules across multiple projects at different phases in production
  • Review & Quality Control deliverables to Client, managing stakeholder expectations as needed for dailies, proxies, etc. 
  • Ensure all assets are delivered on time & to spec
  • Collaborate with Production to ensure footage is filmed on time & to spec 
  • Facilitate communication between Creative Producers & Video Editors
  • Identify problem areas quickly & pose creative solutions
  • Manage administrative paperwork (NDAs & freelance timecards

You Have

  • At least 2-3 years experience working in film, tv, or digital production 
  • Flexibility to adapt with changing timelines & deliverables
  • Working knowledge of Post Production & Production process & equipment
  • Knowledgeable with the technical side of Post Production
  • Proficient in Project Management tools (Float & Airtable are a plus!)
  • Familiarity with codecs, image types, resolutions, frame rates as they pertain to digital media trends
  • Experience with Mac OS & Adobe Creative Cloud apps including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, Media Encoder & After Effects
    • Experience with DaVinci Resolve is a plus!
  • Willingness to learn & evolve within a team environment
  • Emphasis on organization & attention to detail
  • Proactive, & Positive team player 
  • Ability to guide projects from end to end independently
  • Knowledgeable of current social media & digital video platforms, vertical features, series
  • Open to working evenings, nights, & weekends
