The role

We are looking for a passionate & diligent WHS Coordinator based at our Warehouse in Pemulwuy. The WHS Coordinator provides expert support & advice throughout the organization on Work Health, Safety, Injury Management, return to work tasks & Workers Compensation. In this role you will ensure a safe work environment for all team members & make sure both local & global strategic initiatives are being implemented.

What youll do

• Take ownership of KPIs & business metrics for return-to-work & incident management,
  and contribute to the development of communications & initiatives to improve business
  performance.
• Provide updates to the WHS Manager & Site Managers on Workers Compensation case
  progression.
• Review & organise data to contribute to reporting to senior management regarding RTW
  and safety performance.
• Create Individual RTW plans based on role & capacity considerations.
• Liaise with injured workers / team leaders to monitor & drive progress with return-to-work
  programs.
• Review, file & administer documentation for Workers Compensation case management.
• Support Line Managers to implement health & safety initiatives.
• Work with the onsite management team to complete risk assessments & workplace
  inspections.
• Liaise with Line Managers & provide WHS advice & training where deemed necessary.
• Liaise with production staff for day to day health & safety communications & support.
• Contribute to continuous safety improvement opportunities & site compliance.
• Work closely with the production team for internal incident reporting, investigations,
  monitoring & closing out incident & injury corrective actions.
• Any further tasks as deemed suitable for the role on a day to day basis.

What youll bring

• Cert IV WHS with 2 years experience in WHS essential.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Work Health & Safety Legislation.
• Hands on experience with RRTW Coordination & knowledge of NSW Workers
  Compensation Legislation & return to work programs preferred.
• Cert IV Training & Assessment preferred.
• Previous experience in a warehouse manufacturing or production environment preferred.
• Strong team work ethics.
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities with sound time management skills.
• Ability to develop toolbox communication & training resources.
• Proven experience in delivering workplace training sessions including mentoring employees
  as required.
• Proven experience in all aspects of risk management.
