About the Role

Were seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer to guide our product team in developing & deploying scalable, AI-enabled systems. Youll take end-to-end ownership of major backend & data initiatives, mentor a team of engineers, & collaborate with Product, Research, Operation, Sales, & Information Security to maintain robust compliance.

What Youll Do

• Lead the design, development, & deployment of scalable, AI-driven backend & data systems, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives & performance standards.
• Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of R&D projects, from concept through prototyping & deployment, ensuring timely delivery & adherence to quality standards.
• Provide technical leadership & mentorship to junior & mid-level engineers, fostering a collaborative & high-performance team environment.
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, & other stakeholders to define project requirements & deliver innovative solutions.
• Serve as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to develop, implement, & enforce information security policies & procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations & industry best practices.
• Conduct regular audits & risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities & ensure the integrity & confidentiality of information assets.

What Wed Like to See in You

• 6+ years of professional software development experience, with 2+ years in a lead or tech-lead role
• Strong backend expertise: Java, C++, Scala, Pythonplus cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS) & data frameworks (e.g., Spark)
• Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, microservices, & distributed systems
• Familiarity with both SQL & NoSQL databases
• Well-honed software engineering practices: version control, CI/CD, unit testing, code reviews
• Experience architecting & deploying production-grade systems & mentoring engineers
• Strong communication, problem-solving, & organizational skills
• Proactive leadership: self-directed, resourceful, & comfortable steering projects in ambiguity
• Passion for learning, innovation, & advancing AI-driven products

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Experience with security best practices (OWASP, secure coding, API security)
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, EO14117)
• Experience with containerization, orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), Infrastructure as Code

Compensation : Base Salary Pay Range: $159k $229k USD
