Your Role

As a Manufacturing Engineer (all genders) at HelloFresh & Factor, you will ensure the production lines run efficiently. You will focus on maximizing machine uptime, selecting modern technology, & leading innovation projects. You will collaborate closely with suppliers, install new systems, & conduct training to maintain the highest production standards. Additionally, you will coordinate with other departments such as Logistics, Production, Quality, Health & Safety, & Maintenance & Facilities.

This position is based at HelloFresh SE in Berlin & supports the development & expansion of the production facility of our subsidiary, Factor, in Verden (Aller), near Bremen. Therefore, the workplace will be in Verden. Please note that this position is initially limited to 24 months, with the possibility of a permanent contract.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead & implement improvement projects to increase efficiency, volume, reduce costs, improve safety, & optimize product quality (from concept to implementation).
• Analyze & optimize production processes by applying in-depth knowledge of food manufacturing equipment & production workflows.
• Create & update SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), prepare & submit regulatory documentation, & communicate project results to all relevant stakeholders (in English).
• Present project outcomes & propose technical solutions based on comprehensive benchmarking, root cause analysis, data analysis, & proven engineering principles.
• Work closely with interdisciplinary teams (Production, Logistics, Quality, Health & Safety, Maintenance & Facilities) to successfully achieve project goals.

• Experienced in developing & documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency & quality in production.
• Skilled at working with operational data to support investment decisions & clearly track the ROI of process improvements.
• Excellent in project management, with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously while efficiently managing deadlines & resources.

You have

• A Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar technical field.
• Several years of professional experience in food manufacturing, with solid knowledge of FDA/USDA standards & their application in a production environment.
• Several years of experience in selecting, analyzing, & optimizing production equipment to make the right decisions for cost & efficiency improvements.
• Several years of experience in engineering & project management within a production environment, focusing on continuous improvement & process optimization.
• A Lean Six Sigma certification & experience with Kaizen are advantageous.
• Practical experience in a production technical environment, including handling & maintaining production equipment & working closely with operators.
• Fluent in both German & English (C1 level), with the ability to communicate effectively locally & internationally & create technical documentation.
